I think it’s unbeatable for this price. Highly regarded by all reviews. I’d recommend a good headphone amp to power them.

    Thanks OP.

The Sundaras aer great headphones at this price.

If your budget doesn't strecht to the Sundaras but you'd like a bit of HifiMan planar goodness, the 400SE is really good at £129. amazon.co.uk/Ope…-12

I’ve never tried the HE400SE but would love to try them out. I really fancy the Edition XS.

Ah yeah. Brain a bit slow this morning! Still, advanced mp3 should be fine to buy from.

Sundaras are amazing, worth every penny even at full RRP

Worth looking for a Sundara on Ebay when a 20% off code shows up. You can sometimes get it new for 240 with the code.

I'd like to try some planar headphones. I've got too many headphones as it is.
I honestly prefer Porta Pros to most other sets I've tried anyway so at least I have cheap taste.

I used to buy KOSS PortaPros (got a special edition set somewhere), also have Noontec Zoro HD headphones and Samson SR850 - all bargain basement but well-reviewed!

Hama deal with Koss' UK warranty but last I heard you had to pay an additional charge (used to be free - all you did was pop your broken headphones in a jiffy bag).

Bluetooth headphones have taken over for everyday purposes! I have a few headphone amps but don't use my wired headphones much nowadays.

I was tempted to buy these but hopefully Bluetooth technology will catch up with sound quality at some point (I've heard rumblings about lossless Bluetooth, but who knows when that will happen).

Edit: Actually, there's an update on that: I tried aptX Lossless Bluetooth – and yes, we can all look forward to it (with caution) | What Hi-Fi? (whathifi.com) (edited)
