My washing machine conked out, so was looking for a replacement. Took a lot of research, and it was a choice between this or a Beko in the end which had great reviews, same features and a lower price point. But the brand and reviews won out in the end, even though it has 2 year warranty (vs 10Y parts, 1Y labour for the other).

Cost is a bit higher than it has been historically, but it comes with Free Delivery, Free Installation and Free Recycling of the old machine. If you need those options, it's a great deal. If you don't, then it's about £30-£50 more expensive than it has been between 2019-2023.

Also remember 3% cashback with TCB, and 10% back with Amex (if you have the offer - I did luckily so paid £303 including delivery, installation and recycling).

Hope it helps someone else!

Be aware - if you order from website - The free installation & recycling will not come up on the order screen or appear on the e-mailed sales advice. I had to contact them after I ordered for it to be added manually.

Not impressed with Bosch anymore. Always leaves washing powder stains on clothes and I have to put an extra rinse cycle on. Plus sometimes it doesn't spin drag if the weight is uneven. Miele much much better, ours have performed flawlessly and they only cost a bit more from £699. Pay a bit extra for a Miele instead.

If there are powder stains you are probably using too much powder. Newer machines are designed to be more energy efficient and as a result use less water. Instead they use longer dwell time to get the same effect.

had a look at the Bosch wan28081gb I thought it looked cheaply built with a wobbly dispenser cheap feeling door and dial, also the porthole was tiny so difficult to get sheets and quilts etc in and out overall I'll give it a miss (edited)

If you’re looking for a washing machine that does not stick out too much, this is really good and space efficient

The 10 year free parts warranty with others is a scam anyway - more often than not the part ends up being £10 and they charge you £120 just for coming out. You can almost always spend less by just paying a local company to fix the machine instead.

Indeed, that’s why full 5 YW is all counts.

Yep, but without the installation or recycling I think.

Sorry to say, it's D rated with a small 7 kg capacity. It will cost you much more to run it over its life than to purchase it.

Instead, this 9 kg AEG is A rated and costs just £150 more but will save much more over its life in running costs!

My original Bosch lasted 17 years, with no repairs.
I now have the 9kg version of this and am happy with it so far, after about 2 years.

    I got the i dos version of this 8kg. It's fantastic .

I don't know the differences in the machines but they look the same in the pictures.
It's so quiet and doesnt move when it spins.
    Cracking machine .

I thought all were 600 as standard. I haven't seen any which were smaller among the ones I thought through.

what is the amex 10% offer?

Go into your Amex App and click on the offers tab. From time to time, it will give cashback on certain spend. They had an offer for Marks Electrical which gave 10% back. It's now expired, I think, but it keeps coming up with new offers so worth keeping an eye on!
