    had jackfruit before on pre made stuff...like pizza and it was alright

    was'nt this stuff but i bought a tin that was reduced in morrisons a little while ago

    .....was pretty rank to be honest...went straight in the bin (edited)

    Same experience of this tinned stuff here: had to literally force myself to eat it, gagging. Endured cos I hate to throw money away - but felt ill after

    Totally different when buying fresh ripe breadfruit: absolutely delicious. Had it roasted as slices (where it gets its name from) or cubed in peppery rich stews

    So: buy it fresh, for the best taste and pleasurable cooking results. Unless your tastebuds are dead
