Fascinating and insightful (but very long) read on the honey market and what a sham it is.

VERY GOOD and proper HONEY, non of this non EU honey made from bees in China fed on SUGAR. Voted HOT (edited)

With no provenance, I would not vouch it is unadulterated. (edited)

I never realised until very recently how we are all being honey scammed.

All of the benefits and nutrients of honey are gone if you don't do your research. Honey is amazing but only if you buy the right stuff.

This is a no go. Even if it is blended honeys. Honey should always be from one source. If you look at the back of honeys, you can and will always find honey from one country/region.

I saw it in Sainsbury's. The honey was half crystalised already . Seems like natural stuff plus it comes from UE, so very low chance of being fake.

Most of the honey sold in supermarkets and shops is filtered in a process which removes most, if not all of its pollen. The removal of pollen from honey makes it impossible to determine its botanical origin, or whether it is even honey.

    🔥🔥🔥🔥 Heat!

Avoid any honey that says 'mix if non EU honey' as it means it is sugar water imported from china.

supermarket honey is...if you really want real honey either visit your local ''Polski Sklep'' or Romanian etc. and they usually have supplies from local producers; personally I wouldn't touch supermarket honey with a barge ''Pole'' It is cheaper to get 1kg of sugar and mix it with water.....

You know, a lot of good offers from Tesco land at "polish" shop?

This same end of line items from Lidl

Just you need label attached at "strategic" place.

Do not buy this under any circumstances. This is not Polish honey but Chinese sugar with something undefined. The seller should be prosecuted for selling poison under the name of honey. I'm just surprised that Sainsbury's sells this stuff.

Extremely high chance of it being fake as non-specified sources.
How can you tell where the "UE" sources actually source it? (edited)

It's the biggest scandal waiting to happen since the chopping up of snail-eaten kale and cavolo nero and calling it Class 1 with price to match.........................

You must have terrible price inflation in your area. Even my local farmers market had it for 10 pounds.
