Fully expect this to go cold as obviously for the majority of people this is going to be an incredibly expensive laptop, but if you've got the justification and purpose for it then this is a pretty hefty discount off the price at Apple and other retailers.

We have a few of these machines in the studio and an amazing upgrade on the older Intel chips, they weight a ton but really powerful for things like 3D and Video editing

Don’t get the attraction of Mac books this money would build you a future proof top end expandable pc. Love iOS on my phone but do you really need to pay £1800 over the odd for an OS?

How is a big pc relevant to someone looking to work on the go… two entirely different use cases.

Buying a MacBook primarily for gaming is like buying a gaming laptop for long battery life and slim/light chassis. It’s not what either are designed for respectively.

You wouldn’t buy a workstation GPU for gaming. Yet they’re fantastic at what they are designed to do, professional workflows, where a gaming GPU would struggle. (edited)

This is hot for people interested, clearly if out of budget or need it now it doesn't apply but hot nevertheless

Edit: also I have to say it's a good idea to wait and see if there's any issue with this model. Don't forget the SSD gate (edited)

Oh no here come's the average consumers voting cold because they cant afford it.

Just so you know, its called pro for a reason. If you just want to play angry birds and netflix, buy a cheap android tablet.

P.S. I got mine late last weekend and holy hell is it a beast of a machine. Absolutely love it. Looks stunning, feels very well built, battery lasts absolutely ages and I've never seen anything faster. (edited)
