Good reduction, I think the cheapest previously was around £1079 when I looked at Costco.

£1063 at Amazon, and AO too. Result of new 15" Air that's just come out I guess.

I have this, the best laptop i have ever owned, small, lightweight, fanless, runs like a beast, so easy to travel and commute with. can't recommend this laptop enough.

Good price but you can get the refurb deal direct from Apple for cheaper (same warranty) and generally better to get from Apple for if things go wrong after warranty

    No not true

Whether you buy from Apple or another third party company the warranty will be the same with Apple

I think I’ve seen better deals on these, but still a good price for what you get

Waiting for the onslaught of unified architecture ignorants to say it’s a crap deal because it doesn’t have 3 million GB of RAM and a GFX card that produces more heat than my boiler, and runs at 40% of it’s capability when on battery power

Hello, unified architecture ignorant here. I came here to say that 8GB is not enough. Not because of unified architecture or whatever, but for an onslaught of developers (mostly JavaScript devs) who have 0 consideration for memory usage. Why my Chrome tab uses 1GB? Geez

50343095-j0PY0.jpgWas happyish with the m1 air, but i am getting a weird graphics error on boot sometimes, anyone else get this on their macbook at all? (edited)

wow, never seen this. Might be worth a full reinstall of macOS first. If it still occurs, contact Apple Support.

Came here for a laptop and ended up leaving with a master's in computer science with my PHD in the advantages of unified architecture.

I've had the Macbook Air M1 since it came out, it's been really very good (had previous Intel Airs, 13" pros etc). I have been looking to upgrade to the Air M2 but I've been holding off as there isn't quite enough in it for me to change yet. Considered the 15" but I really do like the 13" form factor for moving around, I tend to go for base models.
Tempted...but I might leave it a while longer to see where prices go later in the year.

I still find myself recommending the M1 Air over the M2, The 15" Air looks like one of the best-value Apple computers in years, however.
    sion22's avatar
yeah, if you can find M1 regularly be found under £900, i got mine £750, but 15 inch m2 is like £500 expensive, at £1400, not worth the extra cost imo

Decent price compared to list. Probably clearing out some new stock given the recent price drop and 15” model coming out.
    iEimis's avatar
Price drop isn’t as big in the UK. Hell, even the 15 inch model isn’t £1299 like it is $1299 in the US. £1399 Which makes it a pretty drastic difference in pricing from £1149.

Is this model affected by the SSD Gate situation?
    Lee_Bolding's avatar
The 256GB model has a single NAND chip, so yes - it’s slower than any model with dual channel NAND

However - due to unified architecture - single NAND isn’t slow, it’s just not as fast as dual NAND

Can someone advise which one would be better for day to day use please :
    Refurbished 13-inch MacBook Air M2 8‑Core CPU/10‑Core GPU 16GB RAM 512GB vs 15-inch MacBook Air M2 8‑Core CPU/10-Core GPU 8GB RAM 256GB ?

you're going to have to elaborate slightly on what "day-to-day use" is for you

Love the midnight colour but worried about scratches/ constant cleaning for fingerprints any real world views ?
    MadPad's avatar
Have a midnight one for almost a year now. It’s still as beautiful as the day I bought it. Fingerprints aren’t really visible on the shell. I keep it in a slip case, but none the less it’s been used a good bit and travelled with it.

You might want to check that, as it looks like Amazon show the "Used - Very Good" in the Buy Box at that price.
