Not sure if this may have been posted already but if you register your machine for the warranty, you get a voucher for a pack of biscotti to pick up from their store

Such a coincidence for me. Researched this product (at the higher price) for ages on Sat. Wanted it but decided I would end up drinking too much hot chocolate and the better option for my health and wallet would be not to buy...

Now I feel I CAN'T refuse this offer, so have gone for it. Thanks OP! (or maybe not, if I get fat).

    From my research:
    - Hotel chocolat sachets are super expensive.

    - People seem to recommend Pendragon Drinks and Whittard Chelsea as the best alternatives for high quality, at a lower price.

    - Another cheap option- you can break up any chocolate bars into flakes and use that. Cadbury flakes are a good option. Perhaps going for this deal (1.4kg for £20) is a good combo with the velvetiser? hotukdeals.com/dea…258

    - This can be used as a milk frother (edited)

When you said 'just' are you suggesting you've got it just now? I am at Lidl tomorrow, do they have it in stock now, thanks?

Nowhere near hot enough. Luke warm at best.

Probably already been suggested in the comments but I highly recommend the Pendragon Drinks chocolate as an alternative to the Hotel Chocolat ones. The Pendragon ones mix perfectly and they’ve got some incredible flavours.

    Hey Dave u alright man?
May I ask how’s this diff from either a frother or kettle and hot choc or microwave and milk/hot choc?

I’ve had one of these since they first launched years ago and still use it weekly but for a tasty economical hot chocolate I put a quarter-cup of this in…

    amazon.co.uk/dp/…ils

They offer real dark, white or milk chocolate in 2.5KG for about £25 and it’s wonderful, highly recommended.

It is larger than the HC official flakes, so just make sure you don’t dump the whole lot in on cold milk, add it in 3 waves on warm milk and you wont break anything.
    Enjoy (edited)

Also.. I use coffee syrups (caramel, mint, toffee etc) plus some salt to create my own combinations.

So received mine all excited due to all the hype on here but so far not really impressed:
    1. First issue is that the drink comes out warm at best warm to hot, which means if u don’t drink it in 5 mins, in our cold winters this becomes luke warm or even cold. To me the biggest appeal or a HOT (it’s in rhe name) chocolate drink is the heat in a cold winter day.

    2. The size is it’s max line is barely 2/3 of a mug, in fact my tea mug, takes exactly 2 rounds of this to fill, by the time u got the second round ready it already started cooling down, and to heat up this twice just to get one mug is really not cool when you paying 55 quid or retail of £100. I want to be able to get a HOT cuppa or even control the temp and get a decent size out of it.
    It will be going back

I see where you're coming from, especially if you like your drinks superhot (like me!). Sticking it in the microwave for 30 secs should sort it out.
But if you feel the better texture compared to a standard mug of hot chocolate/cocoa is not worth the money you paid for it, then fair enough.
I have been sticking virtually every hot drink (even those made with boiling water) in the microwave for decades, so I'm used to repeatedly doing it & just getting on with it

Holy crap!! Just made first one, best hot chocolate ever. The first press only made it warm but put it back in and it was boiling! Very happy

Is that the secret to getting it really hot, pressing/processing it twice? Sorry, never owned one but your comment has moved me ever closer

Bit of a different way of confirming order through PayPal, once you’ve paid through PayPal, it sends you back to order screen to confirm the order again where next day delivery can be selected for free (edited)

far better than the milk frothers that allways over spill.

are you making the coffee in another machine, and using this as a milk frother? or are you actually making the coffee in this velvetiser?

Some advice on all chocolate from Hotel Chocolat. Don’t panic if like us you somehow have chocolate left that’s past it’s best before. So long as you keep it cool, dry and away from direct sunlight it’s perfectly edible well past the best before especially if it’s sealed. The flakes are excellent for home baking too. I recently made some incredible cookies! 🍪

£59.21 with the half price nutmilk

    Some comments;
    -sooner delivery only offers 13th+
-the reduced £10-20 choc packs promoted when you add to basket Don’t seem to show in basket at the price stated! Probably best omit / nutmilk seemingly better value
-TCB as above but the site T&C says the offer won’t allow cashback on top (but worth a try - no harm done)
    - although deal ‘runs to Sunday’ expect the nutmilk to go oos soon and probably the popular colours to go (copper?)
    - the £4.25 nutmilk doesn’t further discount with code. But free delivery as over £30
    - try as I might I couldn’t see how the poster above got £8 off! But beware adding extras as per above

This site is madness I buy stuff I don’t plan to get.

Why is everybody talking about flakes? Can't you use powder like the Whittards flavoured hot chocolate? Drinking what sounds like liquid chocolate bars must be horrendously fattening. (edited)
