If your window hinge is stiff/having issues opening and not broken and you're looking to replace them, try a silicone lubricant like this before going through the hassle of changing them.

I applied it on all my window hinges and they now open so easily (like new) and that's after trying WD40 and similar lubricants that just didn't work. (edited)

Great deal. Changed a couple of these before myself. Can be fiddly to do by yourself if the glazing cassette is large/heavy but well worth doing as you get your windows operating back to basically as new. (edited)

Remember there are regulations covering the type of hinge (how wide they can open)
for potential escape from certain rooms in event of fire so don't replace an escape route
with a smaller opening in case of emergency. (edited)

Window to be an escape window must open at least 450mm. These hinges are for different purpose.

I replaced mine recently with this from Screwfix. Now there is a 3-4mm gap on the right hand side (lock is on the left) any ideas on how to get it close properly?

From what you are saying, perhaps you used wrong hinges, as these are for top hung not the side hung windows although I may be wrong.
What I can also think of is that perhaps you put it the wrong way around.

    Voted Hot.

I've had to do this on a few windows and paid 5x this from a local merchant, good price if they stand up to quality

About £2.00 cheaper than toolstation. Look the same to me. Good price.

My bathroom window does not close. I think the hinges are the reason.
Not sure if these would be ideal or not.

Omg I would never have thought to replace the hinges. But even better is that lubricant may work! I will give it a go

Spray your hinges especially in the top corners where they dry out, when replacing I always measure how much the hinge overhangs the sash, and copy that exactly.

What different size? Deal is for 8 or 10in hinges and price for 2 hinges is £5.9 and 4 hinges is £11

I already proved you are wrong, and from where you took £15.76 cost from, I don't know

I strongly believe that you should refrain from replacing the hinges yourself. (edited)
