And this suggests it has two SSD slots: community.acer.com/en/…ive
Might need to register on the Acer site, but other than that no problems with the warranty. (edited)
Either way, this is miles better than that Ryzen 7 IdeaPad 1 and about £100 less. Display on this is IPS as well. (edited)
Yeah, it`s a better deal for sure and with the bonus of IPS as you mentioned and the backlit display looks a nice touch
Two SODIMM RAM slots - but both occupied by PC4-3200 4GB modules.
Vertically it will be even worse, so if you tilt the screen up and it gets very bad very quickly, again, it's TN. (edited)
Searched quickly for some reviews. This looks like a good deal to be honest for this price. Specially IPS screen - 1Tb SSD and the Aluminium Body are nice features.
Also eventough you find conflicting results if you search online, it is seems like the AMD is slightly better that its counterpart Intel cpu.
Have fun.
Is this a big improvement? My laptop is playing up and looking at options.
Id quite like to play some basic civilization/command and conquer type games i think.
Also, what is the "expert installation" for?
Thanks in advance (edited)
I paid just that today for the Asus 16 inch deal from here. I've seen many acer laptops and I don't think I'd want to own one. Matter of experience maybe. This has much bigger drive.
And ryzen 5625u is nearly the same efficient as 5800h (edited)

any input gratefully received thanks (edited)
2 x 4G is kinda better than a single 8g huh, at least it’s running in dual channel.
Keyboard feels surprising good for me, touchpad not - typical sticky hard plastic material rather than glass (to be expected on a cheap laptop). Didn't realise it had a fingerprint reader. Seems fast enough for now with 8GB (though not done much with it).
Is the display TN or IPS? If it is bad I dont even want to open it.
If that's all it says it could be IPS, TN, or VA.
I've seen comments in other places saying they did get a TN panel.
Just open it and check, if it's TN (you'll know straight away as they viewing angles will be awful), you'll still have no problem returning it to Amazon because it wasn't as described.
