Added by @cyberbabenilorac

  • A Crystal-Clear 2K Image: High Definition 2560 x 1920 resolution, combined with our advanced HDR, ensures video is recorded at high quality.
  • No Hidden Costs: Designed to protect your home as well as your wallet, eufy Security products are one-time purchases that combine security with convenience.
  • Respond in Real-Time: Speak directly to anyone who approaches your front door via two-way audio. Tell your friends to come round the back or that you have just run out to get some milk.
  • The Alerts Which Matter: With AI technology and our sophisticated algorithm, the camera intelligently detects body shape and face pattern. You're only alerted** when a human, and not a stray cat, is at the door.
  • Electronic Chime Included: Supports 8 fun and holiday-themed ringtones and adjustable volume level. Note: Installation requires existing doorbell wires at 16-24 VAC, 30 VA, or above. Not compatible with Apple HomeKit or existing chimes. Does not support continuous recording. The warranty on this product is 12 months.

Smart Detection Zones Activity Zone allows you to customize the areas in which the camera will detect motion. Set the Activity Zone to only cover the view from the camera, to receive the alerts you care about.

See the Whole Picture View 3 seconds of footage prior to the initial alert*. Gain a clearer picture of what happened and increase the likelihood of criminal identification.

Interaction Made Easy Record and set up to 3 instant responses. When you are notified of activity simply select one of you pre-recorded responses to interact and give instructions.

“Hey Google, show me my front door” Connect your Doorbell to the Google Assistant or Alexa and check in anytime on what's happening outside your home.

This or the Reolink better? Anyone has used both before?

I had this one. Just replaced it with the Reolink one. Go for Reolink, so much better overall. Reolink only do cameras so they would outperform eufy.

I got one a few months ago.

I was worried it would be garbage, having bought the amazon blink and finding it slow to respond, and slow to notify (hence useless)

However, it is very good with no real issues

Only gripe being the battery lasts maybe a month id say before needing a recharge. (edited)

    I'm currently at 76% after 41 days.

I've found the battery life to be great honestly, busy street too with lots of annoying kids setting off the motion sensor quite often.

Had mine for about 18 months. Picture quality is very good. It's also good that any recordings start a few seconds before anyone is detected, which doesn't happen with the battery ones.

Only issue I have is false alerts, especially during the night. You can change the sensitivity and the detection area, but I still get false alerts except for lowest sensitivity, but at that level, it sometimes misses actual people.

I got too much false alerts. Had to turn it off. Also would load up very slow when alerted.

I have one got it for £99 about a year ago so think this is a good deal. I had it installed by my builder who was doing other things in my house so can't comment on installation. However it works well and only give notifications within the designated zone. I'd recommend it personally.

Just to add, I have 3 other eufy products and had a problem with one of the cameras. I contacted them and they sent a replacement pretty quickly. So good customer service too (edited)

Good price. I was waiting for a wired one as way more reliable and stable than battery powered.

Unless it can do everything it says offline which means you just buy the hardware then you are in their hands and when they decide in couple of years to make some features a "premium" feature.

Go to playstore and look at the reviews, it was great for a year but last few months have really made it rubbish

can you get notifications to your phone outside of the home network without the homebase?
    gilders's avatar
    Yes.

Been using this for 6 months to good effect. Plus you don't store all your information on "the cloud".

This is a great product. Much better than my Ring. The notifications come through much quicker - actually in time to respond.

My only annoyance is that the chime is a bit quiet. I wanted to add on another chime, but it seems that Eufy have discontinues the add on chimes for this model. The normal add on chimes won't work.

Just wondering, if the storage is on the device, what's stopping someone from taking the device itself?
    t_taylor's avatar
It's not on the device it's stored on a separate device called the homebase which acts as a chime and is stored indoors

Does this only capture things when someone actually rings the bell?

I’m hoping to capture if anyone damages my car in front of my house and wondering whether this would be ok?
    MrChaunceyGardiner's avatar
No, it also has motion detection and recording.

50423459-zLZ4h.jpgImage quality on mine. Can't fault it to be honest, no subscription, alerts even when out via my mobile, motion detection. I have the battery version and it lasts months, possibly because I don't get false alerts on the driveway, I set up motion detection to exclude the road area. I guess if you live in a busy street location, that will trigger alerts a lot.
