  • No Hidden Costs: Designed to protect your home as well as your wallet, eufy Security products are one-time purchases that combine security with convenience.
  • Respond in Real-Time: Speak directly to anyone who approaches your front door via two-way audio. Tell your friends to come round the back or that you have just run out to get some milk.
  • The Alerts Which Matter: With AI technology and our sophisticated algorithm, the camera intelligently detects body shape and face pattern. You're only alerted** when a human, and not a stray cat, is at the door.
  • Electronic Chime Included: Supports 8 fun and holiday-themed ringtones and adjustable volume level. Note: Installation requires existing doorbell wires at 16-24 VAC, 30 VA, or above. Not compatible with Apple HomeKit or existing chimes. Does not support continuous recording. The warranty on this product is 12 months.

Smart Detection Zones
Activity Zone allows you to customize the areas in which the camera will detect motion. Set the Activity Zone to only cover the view from the camera, to receive the alerts you care about.

See the Whole Picture
View 3 seconds of footage prior to the initial alert*. Gain a clearer picture of what happened and increase the likelihood of criminal identification.

Interaction Made Easy
Record and set up to 3 instant responses. When you are notified of activity simply select one of you pre-recorded responses to interact and give instructions.

Commenting the same thing I sent last time, as this is an awful product and people need to avoid it.

Guys I had one of these and it was absolutely atrocious and I recommend that you avoid it.

The thing only records when it detects movement, and it uses some BS "AI engine" to determine whether that movement is human or not and it tries to only record humans.

So you can configure the engine in such a way that it records smaller movements or configure it so that it tries to record humans only but neither of these work to any standard. If you configure it for smaller movements it will record hundreds of videos of trees blowing in the wind. If you configure it for humans only it seems completely confused as to what a human is, and I had endless videos and mobile notifications for cars, trees, it seemed particularly confused by the chimney on the house opposite and would record a "human alert" every minute as the chimney was, of course, always there.

On top of all that, the reason why we got this thing in the first place is because our neighbour was being threatening to us, and eventually the neighbour decided to kick our front door in and was standing outside our house threatening to kill us and the Eufy didn't record it at all! And there's no way to get that footage, there's no way to set it to "always record", just useless! Crap!

We replaced it with an Amcrest now and pipe that RSTP stream straight to our Frigate DVR.

Also there's an incredible lag on the audio stream when you're actually responding to the doorbell and the recording from the doorbell sounds so awful on your phone it was actually impossible to communicate with the delivery drivers or whoever was at the door at all. And we had great WiFi, with an access point basically on the other side of the door and it struggled so much.

You had a faulty unit. Mine works flawlessly.

Does anyone that own this know whether you get a picture snapshot of anyone approaching the door on your apple watch like you do with ring cameras?
    creepyg's avatar
I have the battery version of this and get a thumbnail on my Galaxy Watch for motion/ring alerts like I did with my Ring Doorbell.

What are peoples thoughts on how to get 2x doorbell chimes working with this? I want to avoid getting alexa equipment with it
    SeanRTK's avatar
One doorbell will support up to 4 chimes, and don't forget your mobile device will notify you as well which will most likely be sat next to you.

Make sure you do some basic research on this company. They promise security yet leave your data open for all.
I wouldn’t use their products if they were free.

How is my data that is stored locally, open for all? :/

Just beware that around a year or so the plastic lens will start to delaminate from the doorbell (looks like its coming unglued). It's a common issue that happens on even the 2K one. I'm on my second doorbell. If you catch it soon enough can always return the camera or glue it back.

Not surprising given that this is black, it's going to heat up a lot on a summer's day. I'm waiting for them to make a white one.

Do I need to purchase a hub in addition to this? Or does it store all videos on the doorbell?
    SeanRTK's avatar
You can use a hub in addition but you don't need one. You can store videos on an SD card inside the chime (or the doorbell if the chime doesn't have an SD card slot) (edited)

I have one of these but find it very laggy. Takes 30+ seconds to see who’s at my door. Anyone know how I can fix this
    MontBelzoni's avatar
Some people claim 1 or seconds I'm seeing around an 8 second delay with my crappy virgin superhub 3. Am going over to a new fullfibre isp next month + mesh router setup and will see if get any improvements

I have the 1080 version of this, what is the battery life like? And is it sensitive?
    wendy07's avatar
There's not a lot of difference between this and 1080p. It's depends how you place it .. if the movement is across it then it picks it up better than if it's towards it in a straight line. It can be annoyingly sensitive but you can adjust.

If you're not wired up you can use a plug in transformer.

Seriously considering this given that Ring has increased the monthly charge to £5 a month for cloud storage. The eufy floodlight camera I have works extremely well so I am tempted by this.

People keep saying this, but I'm still being billed £3.49. When does the charge come into effect? I was most recently billed this morning.

Just an update: installed it yesterday. No ads. Corner wedge provided. Doesn't require existing wiring of any kind. Transformer provided. Minimal delay to audio/video (2-3seconds). Very easy to navigate, intuitive interface. Very happy.

Can this use my existing standard wired chime? Does it connect to the eufy hub 2?
    wasimali's avatar
Yes but you will need to replace the indoor chime (probably Deta branded) with a transformer

Does the SD card go inside? Thanks

The SD card goes inside the chime. (Maybe it doesn't) (edited)

Can these be linked to a existing NVR system, via IP address? I have an 8 port unit, and currently have 3 unoccupied ports.

    Nope

Anyone know if this supports 24/7 continuous recording without the homebase? Mixed answers in the reviews for this.
    whosyourdadddy's avatar
No it does not support 24/7, at least for the ones selling in the UK. Only the version from bestbuy support 24/7, if I remember correctly.

Just recently installed the battery version of this and it's been great, really impressed with it. Motion is limited to my capture area and human capture seems accurate , the camera quality is really good, there is a slight delay but that is to be expected with anything with an internet connection reliance. It's better than I thought and really happy with it The only small issues I have with it is that every so often the app doesn't open the first time you click it. Also while you can snooze the doorbell, you have to do it manually. I would prefer if you could set a schedule for it as I'm getting woken up at 3am by it going off! Instead you have to remember to un-snooze it
    D1DNS's avatar
You can set up a schedule. Go to the security tab in the app to configure

My experience with the 2k battery one is good. Notification is quick, normally 1-2 seconds delay. My doorbell is actually very sensitive due to facing a street, so I had to turn off the notification. I use a eufy motion sensor near my front door entrance and set up an automation for the doorbell to record. It works perfectly for me.

I had an issue with the doorbell giving random ringing sometimes without anyone pushing the button. I thought it was the doorbell being faulty and Eufy replaced it with warranty. The issue still exists in the new doorbell but I managed to find it was caused by the transformer that hardwired to my door bell. (edited)
    MontBelzoni's avatar
The optional eufy motion sensor will not work with this package...requires a homebase 2 or 3 for motion sensor plus any of the other related alarm system components.

if you are still with ring tdo the cancel method.. not sure if the deadline as passed. i did this as per martin lewis's explanation. I got an extra 6 months or so i think on the old rate.
  19. jaques_kalis's avatar
Can you add homebase to it to increase the storage.
    agent_pires's avatar
    Yup.

Bought my Eufy last year, And love it!… After some trial and error with the boundary setting (detection zone) I have it set perfectly!… Detects every human that has entered my lawn.
App on my iPhone works nice to, And when I am not home and someone knocks I am able to speak with them without issue, However there is about 1-2 second delay when speaking this way but overall very happy with it….
For those who have had issues there are many detention strengths in the settings on the app… as said before it took some tweaking to find the right balance for what I wanted.

Hi I am considering buying this however I want to ask two things. 1. If ring is better than this? and 2. Is it better to use this or cameras?
    em_j's avatar
I have the Ring doorbell and it's works fine.. can capture every movement or every 5/10/15mins apart. I live on a main road so I have it set at 10mins. Otherwise I'd have to keep charging. On the Ring doorbell I'm paying a subscription so keep that in mind. Got my mum has the Eufy doorbell no subscription needed. Install is easier and taking it off to charge is easier that then ring. Again you can set the distance and what you want recording.
Only thing I would say is if you are getting cameras buy wired ones. We had to return the Eufy cameras they were a pain to charge and kept dying..they didn't want to return them too customer service was rubbish think we got 80% money back. Hope that helps.

Just curious, why are people so dependant on these now?

I've had one of these for a few years and they kind of seem pointless to me. I don't ever look at at notifcation on my phone when I get one which is only set to notify me if the doorbell is pressed as all my packages are left on the doorstep. There has been times where it's ran out of battery for weeks at a time and I have not charged it.

I thought it would be super helpful but it just seems a bit of a gimmick from my prospective. (edited)
    ashyt16turbo's avatar
You're probably right. Likely be better off with a decent camera in the window. You can get a Tapo for £25 that'll record to SD card and you can access from anywhere and works with Alexa/Google.

Installed this 3 weeks ago. Originally had a Ring Pro a lot better in my opinion. Works from the original Ring 24V 15VA transformer, no need for for a 30VA transformer as listed
    BlueCreek's avatar
Do you have a link to the transformer at all please? I bought one of these months ago and never installed it as I wasn’t sure what I needed

    Hi All,

    Please can someone explain:

    1) "Existing doorbell wires required?" - can one not simply connect the supplied power adapter to it to make it work or does one need to connect the Chime to it via wires somehow as well?

    2) Does the supplied chime also need to be plugged in or is it via battery?

    3) Can I use Amazon Echo, Show & Fire Tablets for the Chime function as in the Ring Doorbells?

    Many Thanks!
