Seems like a good price for use as a compact, wide-zoom mirrorless travel camera. The Micro Four Thirds camera has a 20Mpixel sensor and 5-axis stabilisation, and the lens is the M. Zuiko ED 12-200mm F3.5-6.3 that gives a 16.6x zoom

If you wanted either the camera body or the lens, you could sell the other component and your item would still probably cost less than buying it new by itself.

The lowest price for the lens seems to be £679 (Amazon with voucher) or £545 second-hand. The lowest new price for the camera body is £788 (or £579 used).

Last year, Olympus released the similar OM-5 camera but that is a lot more expensive (£1,149 for the body only) and its specs aren’t much better.

You should be able to get 4.25% TCB if you're a new customer to Oly.

Any other potential discounts that might be doing the rounds, or other offers with different lenses?

There is also potentially up to 10.5% cashback from Quidco

Olympus is currently offering up to £175 cashback on a lot of its cameras and lenses. Also applies to its authorised distributors (but excludes Amazon, which seems to be offering its own cashback on some lenses)

Still use my M5 Mk2. Great walking around camera.

Last year my E-M5 Mk1 mode dial kept flicking different modes so I bought a 2nd hand E-M5 Mk2.

I have the battery grip from the Mk1 and bought the extra bit to use it on the Mk2.

How does this compare to other compact systems in the price bracket? I've owned fair amount of M43 kit in the past and been generally happy with it, but I'm a bit out of touch with photo kit these days. All I currently have is a 5D classic with a 50mm and 85mm, but this looks like a good all in one walkaround option.
