sorted byThis is based on the one I bought a few years ago and returned so not sure if anything has changed since then. Looks like the same product.
It seems to be the same with all Grohe shower spray heads (and brackets).
So, I took a chance and bought the "Ibergrif Handheld Bidet Sprayer Sprayer" after reading some positive reviews:
amzn.eu/d/iosRlVl
Solid, chrome plated brass and has a quality, weighty feel to it and I have to say I am very impressed with it considering it was only £12ish at the time of purchase (currently £9.50).
Used it with Grohe shower pipe and mount from a previous hand-held shower set and it works perfectly.
I never got if to use as a Bidet sprayer though but installed it in conjuction with and inline diverter valve ( amzn.eu/d/a…Ah5 ) to my exposed pipework mixer shower and even with the pretty low water pressure we have (<1.0 bar), it's surprisingly powerful and great for cleanig the shower after use and can even reach to clean the throne bowl if pebble dash removal is required. Technically you are meant to only supply these with a cold water source that has an air gap, but nobody follows that guidance and it's no different than essentially having a hose pipe.
Can anyone recommend a toilet with an integrated bidet?
Ultimately though we didn't go for that as couldn't guarantee that the actually quality of the porcelain and build of the toilet itself was good enough. So i plumbed in one of these to my existing toilet and put in an isolator (which also allows for pressure control) as well as a timed concussive valve (those push buttons they have in gym showers which let the water run for 60 seconds). The reason for this is you don't want to risk someone forgetting to turn the isolator off after use, especially at night because the water pressure rises and if there is even the slightest kink in the hose then it will split and you will have a massive leak. This happened to me in 2017 and i flooded my downstairs neighbours kitchen which cost me £1k in repairs.
For the record I think that qualifies me as an expert through learned experience, and yes, my username does check out (edited)
I'm in the closing stages of our bathroom makeover, about to fit the plasterboard so I have an opportunity to plumb one of these in right now but I'm unsure.
Good to fit as they take up much less room than a bidet, as they're fitted to the wall beside the toilet. Good to use during morning toilet routine. And, to freshen-up at other times too.
Avoid cold-only kits. It's simply unpleasant + shocking to spray icy cold water on your delicate bits... Warm water is much nicer, and of course encourages a more thorough wash (edited)
Also, this CANNOT be attached to an electric shower... It has a trigger valve that the shower unit would think was a blockage, and trip the power. (edited)
Other than than, this shower head is kind of large too for a bidet.. so expect more of a smoother spreadout clean than a targeted one haha. Good price though. (edited)
GROHE Tempesta-F Trigger Spray 30 - Wall Holder Set with Trigger-Control Hand Shower (Wall Shower Holder, TwistFree Shower Hose 1.25 m, Anti-Limescale System, Easy to Clean), Chrome, 27513001 amzn.eu/d/a…z53
Honestly not sure what the hype is about
It’s cheap looking plastic cheap feel and most important the jet spray is ok not powerful enough
I ADD water to clean better AFTER using dry paper
