Reliability and longevity is. Low stress engines last longer than higher stressed engines that run hotter and regular maintenance is paramount. This is a fact but likely only a concern outside warranty."},{"@type":"Comment","@id":"https://www.hotukdeals.com/comments/permalink/50548705","author":{"@type":"Person","name":"KodaBear"},"datePublished":"2023-07-10T19:40:52.000Z","text":"Yes. It's only a 1.0 Engine with 3 Cylinders, but it is turbocharged, and produces a lot more power than old engines of this size used to manage.
0-60 Acceleration will feel a little slow at times, but you can still put your foot down and make good progress. And it will easily make it up to motorway speeds, keep up with the flow of traffic, and overtake.
I would always encourage you to test drive a car before you commit though. Is this not possible for you to do?"},{"@type":"Comment","@id":"https://www.hotukdeals.com/comments/permalink/50549165","author":{"@type":"Person","name":"bigwheels"},"datePublished":"2023-07-10T20:40:38.000Z","text":"Just watched a video about the new Renault austral hybrid.

Like Koda says. There is a lot of difference now in performance.
However. I do remember doing 111mph in a 1.3l Fiat Uno Turbo in 1990 which would bode well 33 years later."},{"@type":"Comment","@id":"https://www.hotukdeals.com/comments/permalink/50550451","author":{"@type":"Person","name":"ashmac"},"datePublished":"2023-07-10T23:55:24.000Z","text":"You want torque for over taking this is the important factor , I don’t personally like any 1 .0 with a turbo but i suppose it’s economical
Aspiration :\tTurbo + Intercooler

Some of those 3 cylinder engines make a right racket.
Personally I'd avoid any 3 cylinder, but thats just me. Like some other comments they are put under huge stress so not worth the potential trouble when the mileage gets on."},{"@type":"Comment","@id":"https://www.hotukdeals.com/comments/permalink/50560543","author":{"@type":"Person","name":".MUFC."},"datePublished":"2023-07-11T19:09:02.000Z","text":"Plenty of power, They'll last around 100k without too many issues. I was looking into AUDI Q2, VW TROC they all use 1.0 TSI engines and I can find 2018/2019 models with 40/45k mileage with one keeper for 15k range ( budget is around 15k).
Can anyone provide any recommendations or alternative models which is a good fit? he will be using it for local run arounds and will add roughly 5/6k mileage per year not a lot of long trips and all.
Thanks"}],"commentCount":20,"interactionStatistic":5,"articleSection":"Ask"}
