Good stuff this my dad repaired a flat roof about 20 years ago with this, still perfectly good.

Imo not worth the hassle.used it couple of years ago and this year it's flaked resulting in leaking again.used flash band for time being.next summer if summer comes will probably have to relay with the type of EPDM rubber sheeting with underlay and adhesive should last a good 20-30 years without any issues.yes this will work but only temporary as is probably my flashband but I had some flashband and primer left around so used that up instead.this can be costly if using for largish area.used ours on a 6x 15-20m flat roof.

Acrypol or Cromapol are the only such things worth bothering with IMHO, plus are available in less heat absorbing colours than black.

Do the alternatives you mention offer longer protection / last longer, than this item?

highly reccomended, saved my bacon recently with the crazy rainstorms we have been having.

    - selco is cheaper (edited)

I used 2 large tins of Blackjack All Weather from Toolstation to get me through winter. Sure it did the job...but the repairs have worn away after 6 months. I now have a leaking celing in my house!

I'd recommend for small repairs really - if you're avoiding getting new felt or EPDM roof, just bite the bullet and take the hit. Trust me, from my experience of avoiding it, it's not worth it and you'll probably end up paying more in the long run (like I am!)

Does anyone think you could simply paint an entire wooden shed roof with this stuff? By my reckoning this is cheaper per m² than an EPDM.

    Heat and ordered. Cheers.

So do you still need to put the felt on on top?or does this do the job

This would repair / patch felt like you would use bitumen for. It's not really a replacement for felt, but can help with filling any damage or gaps etc if it's small enough.

This stuff is brilliant. If you've got any flat roofing at all I couldn't recommend anything more than buying a tin of this, putting it in the shed and literally waiting for that rainy day.

Find the source of your leak and just "go nuts" (as Michael Keaton may say) with the stuff all over the area.

Used this on the roof of a leaky tenement and it held up for years. Your "quick fix" alternative is getting a roofer who'll patch it with felt, charge at minimum ten times the cost, and it will inevitably ingress at some future point anyway.

Order cancelled in Woking, they were showing 4 in stock but same old excuse of customer returns. Couldn’t be the staff are cancelling and buying themselves to flog on eBay?

Won't let me checkout, says it's oos at checkout but not in basket. Great deal if you can get it. (edited)

Will it not let you order it in to your store; mine will?

I bought this before and can strongly recommend, its really good and easy to use. I paid less though I think this is a good price.

Anyone know if it'd be ok for sealing around a pop top roof on a camervan?
  18. mn2005's avatar
Got a pitched roof with a drainage pipe coming through. I've got a leak somewhere around it. Can't put a shroud as there's no collars nearby.

If I wack this stuff around it, is it likely to close any potential gaps.

OOS up to 100 mile radius of Holyhead. Good luck

100 mile 'radius' of Holyhead covers a lot of the Irish Sea!

Is this any good to repair GRP that is flaking and leaking?
    ionut.radu's avatar
yes used on my summerhouse , easy to lay and very good
  21. eccobeachy's avatar
That’s a great price. I bought a few at £56 a tin at screwfix a couple of months ago. Bear in mind though that you also need the primer which comes in 75ml tins (1 x per 4.5 litre of the liquid rubber) and is harder to find. I had to go to Wickes for it and it’s about £24 a pop.. (edited)
    shez786's avatar
do you need the primer for felt roofs before applying liquid rubber?

roof felts in good condition thought i might use a coat of the liquid rubber as additional protection
  22. ixdi's avatar
No. That's paint. Not liquid rubber.

Suggestions on how to repair a corrugated steel roof with small holes all over? Can't rip it out and replace ... TIA

Belzona do metal repair products for this type of thing. They also do roof coatings that will be superior to what's mentioned here. However, it's probably not the sort of product that gets mentioned here due to cost. Good stuff though!

My felt roof has a leak, it's already had some sort of coating applies by previous owner, any ideas if acrypol etc is worth doing?
If it's just a temporary repair thinking might as well spend money towards a new roof, roofers have quoted repair costs of around 2.5k..
