Does anyone know how much bloatware Lenovo installs these days?

This does seem like a great deal for a home pc/desktop PC that takes up little space and would offer excellent performance with a high-end Intel CPU. Clearly not built for gaming but for someone that doesn’t want a tower case/PC with coloured fans and LED’s taking over his/her desk then this looks like a compact system with decent performance. Not a gamer but what’s the graphics like? Would it be adequate for editing 4K video?

Intel CPUs generally are excellent for video. h.264 and h.265 encode/decode acceleration is built in. A 12700 can easily handle a 4K h.265 10-bit 60fps encode on real-time , with a bit to spare. If you're looking at AV1 encoding then this can't do it in hardware though.

General desktop usage is fine. (edited)

Another joke of a system for the price- with the usual VERY suspicious batch of raving comments.

This CPU will be running well below spec- many Intel pre-builts have rotten PSUs (like this one), rotten cooling, and solve the issue of a VERY power inefficient Intel chip by running it at a much reduced power level, impacting its performance.

It's a very basic office system with a price that no office should be paying in 2023.

I guess if you need the power in a tiny case, it's a good solution but I'd say the Beast Canyon deals which keep coming up around the £450 mark are far better value for money if you have a little more space. The integrated graphics are near identical, you have the flexibility to add a proper graphics card at any time, and adding 16GB RAM and a 1 TB NvME would still keep the price around £500.

    will the 16GB be 1 x 16 or 2 x 8?
    mky1's avatar
Spec says 4 slots, so plenty of scope for expansion, unless it’s 4 x 4GB.

Whats the motherboard like on this, can i gut for parts for my 3070 system with another psu?

    what's a 3070 system ?

I take it that this has no usable PCI slots, or if they are, they're the small ones?
  16. bfhf's avatar
70mm is Max heights for pcie slot. And around 300W pwoer we can't fit any graphic card in it. (edited)
    Willy_Wonka's avatar
I think you have your measurements wrong. 7mm?

How does this Intel cpu compare to an AMD 5600G? Seems like a major discount in price so could potentially sell in a couple of years and recoup the price
  18. V12AMG's avatar
Good deal if you can live with the CPU not performing at it's optimum due to thermal throttling and also strangled by not enough clean power from the PSU.
