I want to share my recent experience with this seller.
I bought 2 x T480 8GB Very Good Refurbished Laptops from the deal I posted last week. I ordered on Sunday, received both laptops on Wednesday. Physically condition was very good, no scratch on the screen, very light scruff mark on the lid, thoroughly cleaned, one of them even came with higher capacity external battery.
But another laptop was faulty; when I moved the lid, display turned off/on for 3-4 times before stabilising. I called the number provided in the invoice on Wednesday evening. Without any hassle, I was given options to return the laptop for refund or accept replacement laptop. I went with the replacement laptop. It arrived on Friday and they collected the faulty laptop at the same time. Replacement laptop was as good as the first one I kept. Although It doesn't have higher capacity external battery, it has 16GB RAM instead of 8GB.

Still early days, but impressed with the delivery time, customer service and quality of the laptops! (edited)

I also got the t480 deal and was really impressed with the condition it came in. Already upgraded the ram on it and it's working great.

Ordered as well the x380 listed as good condition here last week. Fast delivery times. But not happy with the condition of the laptop as good. Feels like its a grade B

This or a Lenovo T480 from same seller? Appreciate any advice

This has better screen than the T480 but is less modular.

Spot on for general MS Office/web stuff etc.

Got the laptop but the battery is totally dead. Are they cheap and easy to replace or do I ask for another one or just a battery or just return it?

Call them and let them know, minimum battery should be 2 hours

Hi All, got this model delivered this morning. Have gone through setup etc. Just installed a CPU temp to see what it's running as I noticed the fan constantly being on once it's switched on. Average temp is 80° surely this isn't normal right? I know not to expect much, however I'll only use this for general browsing and light office work.

It probably needs cleaning and new thermal paste.

I looked into that as well but didn't go for it because X390 doesn't have Full HD, it is 1366 x 768. Hope you are aware about it

I can only get 10% off an X380 yoga! Can we expect another 20% off soon? Granted no crystal balls! Thanks in advance.

I am looking for a laptop that can handle normal usage and bit coding. My budget is 200 quid. Can anyone suggest me between this, t480 or 2015 macbook pro? TIA (edited)

These are not bad, i've been using one for work (like everyone at my work) for about 3 years, still going strong and gets assaulted with 6-7open spreadsheets at once whilst monitoring line CCTV etc.

While connect to 2 x 24 inch screen, pretty impressed and the touch screen is sometimes helpful. (not sure they all have touchscreens).

Thank you! Was after a new laptop for work - great price and the good feedback seemed ideal and saved me alot of time dithering over which laptop to go for. Thanks so much

I need a basic computer that can transfer media off my phone at good speeds. Would this one be better for me?

Your one has an older processor.

For your use case, I can't see it making much difference though. I assume you are plugging a cable in and transferring files over?

You could always use Google Drive and upload your photos to the cloud.

What sort of life span should you expect from this set up. Wife wants a new laptop just to do her family tree where she has loads of open internet pages, word and excel docs.
Would it last her 5 years just for this?
Our laptop at present is 10 years old

I suspect this will be fine for a basic workload and will be quicker than your current machine, especially if you have a spinning disk in your old one!

Keep in mind that it has a small ssd (newer version of a hard drive) in it. If you intend on storing a load of massive files, this will be a limiting factor. They are generally cheap ans easy to upgrade though. (edited)
