The DC18SD Standard Li-ion Charger charges Makita 14.4V or 18V Li-ion LXT slide type batteries. DC18SD is not compatible with G-Series batteries.

The DC18SD is equipped with a built-in memory chip for the battery to communicate with the charger for maximising the charge cycle, fans cool air across the air vents to reduce heat building up and protecting the battery and audible sounds to communicate the status of the charge cycle and when the battery is fully charged.

You can expect a 18V 2.0 Ah battery to charge in 45 minutes, 18V or 14.4V 3.0 Ah battery to charge in 60 minutes, 18V 4.0 Ah battery to charge in 90 minutes, 18V 5.0 Ah battery to charge in 110 minutes and 18V 6.0 Ah battery to charge in 130 minutes.

    Very chinese looking version.... if it was not sold by amazon (as opposed to marketplace) I would guess it was a knockoff. I guess its either a grey import or the item photos are wrong and you'll get a UK version.

    It looks like the Japanese 100V AC version in the pictures. I'm hoping you'll get the UK 230V version when you order? Surprisingly, it doesn't appear to be dual-system.

    It's a good price for what it is but, you'd be better off buying the Makita DC18RC which is the rapid charger with inbuilt fan and normally available for less than £25. It reduces charging times by more than half.

    110 Mins to charge a 5aH ? Ouch! Save your pennies buy the RC version and have it charged in less than half the time.

    Its the SD standard charger not the RC rapid, so Pricing is good? And shouldn't be a chinese knock off
