    I have the ugreen KM switch and use it for this purpose. Monitors have HDMI to the laptop and DP to the desktop. Works perfect

    Is the usb ports work as hub between devices two ?

    If you have a usb hub connected to one of the usb 2.0'ports on this and your usb hub has 3.0 ports will it read at 3.0 or 2.0 ? (edited)

    any similar and cheap with DP ports instead of hdmi?

    Unlikely. If you only need 4k @ 60hz you can probably pick up something un-branded around £40. If you need the full DP bandwidth you're looking at at least £80 for something unbranded. However, from what I've read the unbranded stuff can be sketchy in terms of delivering the quoted specs like 4k 120 or 8k 60.

    I looked into the "industrial" ones I've seen at work and the 4 PC dual display versions are £700!
