    These are great. They get a little clammy in my experience, but that’s better than cold and wet. I stop when I get a chance to air my feet, and take “normal” socks for when I’m past any wet bits, but these are a regular wear for me on long boggy walks.

    Shouldn’t do - it’s a membrane, not a coating. Keep your toenails short though.

    Hot. Ordered. There's a limit to any waterproof clothing, but I reckon these will see plenty of miles over winter...

    I'm an all year round motorcyclist and have been wearing these socks in the winter for many years. Never had any water get into any of my boots that aren't gortex lined.

    One of the reasons I like these so much is that it gives you more flexibility on boots/footwear. You don’t necessarily need 100% waterproof boots if you’re confident in your socks.

    But some of the thinner ones would be fine
