Self levelling cement question?

The garage floor has been chipping for the last 10 years and is always dusty. Today I hoovered a section and sealed it with one part PVA and one part water. It seems to have sealed well.

It is bare concrete and not smooth and I think it will flake again.

Just wanted to ask a quick question about self levelling cement. Can I repair the patches where the concrete has chipped in the garage or do I need to do the whole floor.

The problem is that it is full of stuff and moving everything out and in would be a huge issue, there are two wardrobes full of stuff at one end

The issue is where the cement levels at the edge it would be a thin layer and would that flake, as the floor is bare concrete and I take the lawnmower in and out and spades and tools etc?

Thanks, advice would be greatly appreceiated.

Self leveling floor screed is never 100% self leveling, even when using a float and spiked roller.
If you just want to do a small area you'll most likely still end up with a small lip.
It is however very durable and done correctly shouldn't break up under your usage.

Thanks, will probably do the bits where there are some small potholes, then paint over with epoxy paint.

Have you looked in to epoxy resin floor paint?

Although I haven't used them, you could consider the Klikflor X500 Garage Floor Tiles to put over the concrete floor instead.

If you want to repair patches and they aren’t too deep then try stopgap 500 micro
