Superb monitor for home office. I bought several of these for use with MacBooks and they are excellent.

They charge a laptop via USB-C so you just need to plug in one cable to charge your laptop and get video, audio and USB interface to the monitor. 4K resolution is great and it is in IPS panel so has good contrast and wide viewing angle.

The two downstream USB ports can be used to connect keyboard, mouse, webcam etc via built-in USB hub.
Stand is adjustable so it’s easy to tilt or slide the monitor vertically and it even rotates 90° if you’re some kind of crazy person who like their display tall and thin or if you just want easy access to the ports.

Highly recommended if your computer has USB-C and supports 4K.

Some gamers may prefer a higher frame rate and serious film makers/graphics artists may want a more expensive monitor with better black levels and proper HDR but this is one of the best monitors for the rest of us. (edited)

Agree with all of this, I use mine with a MacBook and my Xbox Series X - works great for both. Only issues are the speakers are awful, and if you have headphones plugged in, for some reason the sound comes out the speakers first then the headphones.

It also takes an age to swap inputs but that seems a universal issue with monitors.

Would this be ok for photo editing please? It seems a really good deal, buying for my daughter but 1440p was recommended so not sure whether it's not quite right.
    samsun's avatar
Colour accuracy is the most important thing for photo editing, not resolution. I don't know how this one performs but that's what you should be looking at.

I have a 27" 1440p monitor I use for office and photo editing and the resolution is perfect for me. Doesn't mean 4k is overkill necessarily but 1440p won't be too low

Beware, nothing gets full marks from them; every monitor has 'faults'.

I'm still running my old Dell Ultrasharp U2412MB monitor which has been excellent.

Tempted by this as an upgrade though. I solely use the monitor for working from home, so all Office apps, and web browsing. Would going from my trusty 1080p to a 4K mean things like text and icons etc would suddenly become a lot smaller and harder to read?

Also note that this one doesn't have any DisplayPort connections so guessing it would have to be HDMI into my desktop?

Not bought a new monitor in years so pretty out the loop with this stuff! Thanks!

Windows scaling will let you set the UI to whatever size you want. 150% is generally the default and a good compromise between size and screen real estate. 125% gets you more space if you have decent eyesight.

100% scaling at 4k would need at least a 32 inch monitor to be usable. 200% gets you the exact same amount of space as 1080p, obviously blown up to the larger monitor size.

As somebody who went from 24" 1080p to 27" 4k (and then 32!), you'll definitely appreciate the sharpness and extra working space.

looks like that one has no height adjustment, usb c power delivery, no usb hub, etc.

Hi - Complete novice here! Could I plug a firestick into this and watch TV?
    GoldenBeach's avatar
    Yes you can.

I have this monitor and it’s been excellent for the last year and a half with my Dell laptop (USB-C).

My only niggle with it is that it’s a little bit too small when you snap 4 windows to the screen at once - it would be great if MS updated Windows 11 to support 3 windows with a landscape option rather than the vertical only ones. I know 3rd party software does this but often can’t install that on work laptops. If you feel like this would be an issue for you then it might be worth trying to find a larger sized 4K monitor.

Would you have to get specific 4k 60 USB C to USB C cables for them to work or would you need something else? Although its "only" £11 for the Cable matters cable rather then the £30 £20 for HDMI 2.0) USB C to HDMI one.

Bit late to this... is this still working? If I type in my work email and press submit I get a request processing error.

Thanks OP.. been waiting for a good price on a 27" 4K USB-C monitor. This was on my list and I almost bought this a few weeks ago. I was able to use the 10% employee discount from my employer.

    Looks good.

Had been looking at a U2723QE but this is much cheaper for not much difference.

Is there a way to connect two monitors with one usb-c cable?
    adam.mt's avatar
Yes. It would require a USB-C hub with two of the following: HDMI, DisplayPort, VGA ports.

U2723QE is very similar to this but has a better "IPS black" panel. But it's more than twice the price! (edited)

Dell delivery timescale is at least a week, so cancelled and gone with Amazon as they've dropped the price. Didn't have Advantage so the difference is £13 for my impatience.

Always used used Dell U series and P series at work. S used to mean cheap, bottom line. This seems neither! What am paying extra for the P and U series?
  20. EngineRom's avatar
can anyone help me with a Dell Advantage code. Please

Looking for two screens where I can use my computer and series x, but imagine this won't be great for gaming?
    Jameseh's avatar
The Series X can do upto 120Hz (this is 60Hz), but you'd be hard pressed to find 120Hz 4K IPS screen for anywhere near this price.
  22. Deal_Hunter_x's avatar
Ordered mine around 3pm today, delivery tomorrow. That do nicely :-)

I remember having a long wait when I ordered my first screen.

Just checked the delivery times for a new order to my postcode and it’s saying estimated delivery would be the 13/09.

So there may be a bit of a wait for new orders.. (edited)

This looks like a great monitor. I have a similar ACER one. It looks very similar to this. I'm assuming that these must be made in one factory or at least be using common parts.

  27. Captain_Le_Chuck's avatar
Do they have this in 32 inch?
  28. gfocker's avatar
Looks to be a good screen, but it's unlikely you will be able to use it without scaling at least 125% otherwise the text will be tiny at 4k. I have this exact problem with a Lenovo 28" so I'm looking for a 32" to be able to use without scaling.

its usually better to get one big screen to prevent neck pain

If anyone has a code they could send my way, that would be fantastic - thanks!

Actually, my work email seems to be eligable... nice!
  36. captc's avatar
Does anyone know if a USB hub will work on this? I.e. one with multiple USB 3.0 ports and an ethernet - so I can connect printer, mouse and ethernet cable.
    SuperDario's avatar
I can let you know next week when mine arrives if you dont find out by then!
  37. TechKen00's avatar
Has anyone used this monitor for design? I understand one review said it "The mediocre color gamut makes it a no-go for photographers and videographers, as well" but it seems that the Media Creation score isn't bad?? rtings.com/mon….10

As a result I was looking at the Dell U2520D too. The AOC that another commenter recommended is currently above my budget range sadly.
    adam.mt's avatar
Unless you're going to double your spend, then this is likely the best you're going to get. (edited)

Im thinking of getting this for my desktop & laptop. Laptop wil charge from the USB, so I will need to use one of the HDMI ports with a HDMI to displayport cable for the desktop.

Will that cause me any issues - Im guessing not as its 60hz? Thanks
