This is very good maple syrup in our opinion, and definitely cheaper than the supermarkets by weight. However, this is far from the best price I've seen it on Amazon. I bought it for £10.49 just back in late June.

Wow, you're right, what a rip off. Definitely worth waiting a few more months/years to save that 70p. (edited)

I put it in the freezer, just to be sure. It went like thick honey, so I could still pour it. (edited)

This is the way. I was told to do this by a small producer (farmer?!) in New England.

So what is it? Tree juice mixed with sugar?(confused)
    JubilantPigeon's avatar
Just tree juice. It contains the sugar naturally.

Just had to get a refund due to this going mouldy within a couple of months. Last one was in cupboard for years and was still perfect.
    Arold's avatar
You didn't deserve a refund if you ignored the clear instruction on the label to refrigerate after opening!

    Costco reviews...

    Total = 176
    5 Star = 165
    4 Star = 10
    1 Star = 1

Lasts a year refrigerated... going to give it a try

It wouldn't last that long in our family 😋

    Is it good for you?
    wised_up's avatar
yes, much better than processed sugar ;-)

Fridge ? It's syrup. It will last for ages perfectly fine in the cupboard at room temp.

And this is coming from a weirdo that puts eggs in the fridge to keep them fresh, lol.

No it won't it goes mouldy after a few months

Anyone else wondered who was the 1st person to ‘find’ this stuff?
Someone, weighed down by deep psychological problems, must have walked through killer bear infested forests, licking random trees until ‘bingo’ they find one they like the taste of.

You think that's bad, what about the perv that discovered cow's milk?

Errr, that's not how it works 😄

I can’t be trusted with this stuff. I’ll drink the majority of it neat when I’m peckish and hardly ever have it on any food!

Voting cold... was only £2.99 for 330ml last time I bought some in Home Bargains (Maple Shack grade A)
    SpeedbirdB777's avatar
But you had to be seen walking into home bargains…

    Is it cheaper in Costco?
    muradxs's avatar
Yes it is. Can't remember precise figure but a couple of pounds cheaper. But then you have to travel to and from the warehouse and be a member too so swings and roundabouts I guess.

Same price as Costco online, but you need to be a member to buy

    Grade A, is it refurbished?
  21. Jacob_Z's avatar
Had it before for less, would recommend taste wise though! And it was OK without a fridge for quite long, before we run out

Heat🔥 I love maple syrup and treat myself to Buckwud when it's reduced but it's still ridiculously pricey for such a small bottle.

So 1L for under £12 is a bargain for those who have access to Costco - not me unfortunately.

Must say I'm curious as to how it can stay refrigerated for an entire year though.
    morgmonster's avatar
    It’s for sale on Amazon
  23. CLathbury's avatar
Tastes great! I've bought this and dispensed some into a smaller maple syrup bottle, then frozen the big one so it hopefully lasts forever.
  24. camaj's avatar
For reference, Sainsbury's is about £18/kg. I imagine that 1L of maple syrup is heavier than 1L of water so the price per litre is probably higher than £18
    SpeedbirdB777's avatar
According to google it has an SG of 1.37
  25. EV8's avatar
Was £8.89 in Costco yesterday, appreciate not everyone has immediate access to that but if you’re and and want some

Buying a couple now. Have a WAM party in 2 weeks time and this is perfect.

Looks like this around £9 from Costco, by chance - anyone here bought it from the Trafford store?

Lots of stock? I came back from Canada last month, and I'm glad I didn't buy it from there. Never knew Costco UK sold maple syrup.
    Badpoet's avatar
It been in every north west store I have been too but not been to Trafford recently.

Consider my mind blown! I was gonna post ‘how many decades does it take to go through a litre!’ But seeing the other comments makes my post redundant lol. What do you guys use it on?
    fishmaster's avatar
They probably use it in conjunction with some of the abundance of underwear deals on this deals forum.
