Great price for an October break in Devon. Works out at just over £3 per person, per night. Other dates at similar prices e.g. 2nd Oct. Also other parks at decent prices like the Wild duck one (albeit not £49).

Good post . Recently came back from this Park. Paid £82 for 4 nights. Plenty of facilities and things for kids to do. Pretty well maintained.
Beach is nice. Sandy and clean. Great walks, the coastal path literally goes through the site. Can take a long walk along the beach to Exmouth when the tide is out and come back over the cliffs, or vice versa. Good transport links with a great bus service that goes through the Park and is well used by holidaymakers.
Accommodation is basic but has everything you need. If people are realistic and bear in mind what they are paying then it's a bargain. (edited)

Thanks for the review very helpful and in fact thinking of going for it.

Just one query around the mobile network coverage - how good was it for data speeds and which network did you use?

Do you think this would be good for somebody who doesn’t drive? What are the public transport links like? Can you get around Devon easy enough?

I live in Devon, transport links are mostly good, especially in Exmouth and Exeter, regular busses between those two places, and Exeter has plenty of railway stations.
Some places in Devon are hard to access, the far south coast, places like salcombe. You can go to Barnstaple in the north from Exeter by train.
That haven camp is a few miles from Exmouth, 2 miles I think, but probably a bus stop in the camp itself to Exmouth town. I've noticed bus stops in other haven camps that I have stayed.

Ah man, we have already booked the bronze one for the 9th. Price has dropped by £14. We paid £59 with BLC discount and now it's dropped to £45. Does anyone know if we have a chance of getting the difference back as a price match promise or something? Many thanks

Yes in theory but the blc might screw it up, just call them

Does anyone know if there is a bus service to the Haven site from Exeter St. Davids train station please?
    DopeyDunker's avatar
I think the best route might be go on another train from Exeter to Exmouth and then get the 95 bus from Exmouth to the site.

Can we not have a megathread of some sort for all these haven £49 deals? I don't get why you need a separate post for each caravan site and date combination
    Ouzoherb's avatar
People trying to win the daily £10, is the explanation, even I tried it

    Sadly no dogs allowed
    DopeyDunker's avatar
Not sure of the rules, maybe dogs are only allowed in certain classes of caravans, but there were plenty of people with dogs when I was there. (edited)

Does anyone know if I'm able to use my sisters BLC to make my booking even if she's not coming with me? Do they ask for proof when you arrive?
    Aero_1's avatar
I've never been asked for proof of blc by them.

You can’t pay for just the pool. You have to purchase play passes per person. That should be off peak but a few weeks ago peak was £170 for 2 adult 2 kids and we could only pre book the pool 2 out of the four days as it was fully booked. Me didn’t bother with the entertainment and the a lot of the extra paid for activities were cancelled due to weather leaving us chasing refunds. If you just use it as a base and no intention of using the facilities this works.
