sorted by- Some people seem to think this is a joke, but it's a serious point.
A browser extension is basically like a hidden facebook tracker but supercharged, so it can not only know every website and times of day you visit the site, but even capture all data you enter into forms, including comments, names, dates of birth, card details, passwords, etc.
I'm not saying topcashback does this, but simply that it's possible for them to even capture details from your bank logins and statements, etc.
Very valuable info, especially for third-parties and insurance companies. - Tried this before but never tracked
- not on mine but to be honest, i can't cope with any more gift cards as i still have so many yet to be usedI always convert them all to supermarket GCs, nobody can go without buying food & groceries.
Also for the most part, supermarket GCs can be used to buy many other stores GCs - Amazon & any other, so much greater choice - and has never failed me instore a single time (Asda self-checkouts), the staff at Sainsburys also put them manually through without fuss. (edited) - Hmmm. No offer for me either. ☹️ Downloaded and installed extension on Chrome and it worked quite well but still no £2 offer.
Don't think there's an extension for Firefox, which is disappointing. Haven't tried Edge.Available for Chrome, Firefox & Edge topcashback.co.uk/hel…ith
For Firefox addons.mozilla.org/en-…on/ - Can you just remove the browser extension as soon as you're done?Yes, there is nothing in the T&Cs topcashback.co.uk/dyn…us/ to say you need to keep the extension installed for any length of time.
Best to contact their customer support to confirm this though. - Thanks for posting, is it only available for some accounts? Not showing on mine.
- Nope not seeing this offer either
- Not for me either
- Desktop onlyInstallation of Firefox on Android allows the use of extensions.
- Not on mine, all I see is Phil from Eastenders offering cashback on RAC
- TCB are awfully slow to pay upAlways down to the retailer.
- Something's going on with this site, had 4 claims declined this month. Seriously, I know cashback are never guaranteed but c'mon, 4 declined claims in one month with the same reason that they have not been identified as the last channel to the sale. When I clearly click get cashback button then immediately make the transaction and don't mess around. I'm loosing faith in this site. It's the retailer that declines, not TCB.
There's always similar complaints on Quidco deal threads.
Some people don't understand, the cashback company won't give you free cashback if the retailer has declined.
Although I've had a couple of claims where TCB very kindly paid me 50% of the claim as a good will gesture, even though the claim was declined. (edited) - Cold. Usually a big fan of TC but this is a rubbish way to treat us... COLD 🥶
- Heat because I'm eligible for the offer, but I'll pass on this occasion as I don't want even more of my data being logged for an extra £2.There is nothing in the T&Cs topcashback.co.uk/dyn…us/ to say you need to keep the extension installed for any length of time - so use it to get the benefit, then uninstall it.
Best to contact their customer support to confirm this though. (edited) - Aw rats. I hate browser extensions Wonder if this is any browser or just Chrome/Microsoft/Firefox etcJust had a look on the pc.. can't see this offer listed, so not for me (phew, saves me using a browser extension... but I do love cashback...)
- Not seeing the offer
- Not seeing the offer either
- Will this work with TopGiftCards?Doesn't say TGC is exempt in the T&Cs topcashback.co.uk/dyn…nus, so hopefully all good.
- Not seeing any offer
- I've got the offer and the extension installed but can't see topgiftcards as an option, is it only limited sellers?
- Far too much messing about for me. I just want to go on app, buy an Asda topgiftcard and get money back. Simples
- Does it work with eBay?
- It showing for me either
- Yaks! That really creams my corn!
- Not on mine
- Not for me either
- Did a rental cars purchase recently and they declined it within 24hrs.
Somehow don't think that's anyone's doing except TCB.
Raised a claim, but obviously they put it on ice as it's within 14 days.
Claims process is like talking to a brick wall.I've hardly used the claims process, as only a couple of declines in the last 2 years across hundreds of transactions. Always a good result when I have. - Similar here, my cashback also hasn't paid out - avoid - TopConNot sure your advice is the best advice.
Lol, how do they compare with Quidcon?
If I took everyone's advice on here to avoid cashback sites, I'd be around £8000 worse off. - Too much like hard work for a poultry £2.00🐥Eggsactly. It's just chicken feed. Better ducking this one.
- How do I know if I'm "selected"? Where is the screenshot taken from?If you don't see the offer when you click through get deal you're most likely not eligible.
Also, from the T&Cs...
"1. To be eligible for the £2 Cashback Bonus promotion, you must be a member of TopCashback.co.uk, you must have received an email about this promotion... - I tried quidco's browser extension for their bonus and it didn't track so won't be getting that now, wasn't happy
- Can I use this deal to get travel insurance via Money Supermarket?
- Unfortunately not showing for me eitherYou need to have received an email.
