Best android phone for android auto wired

Hello everyone, I’m hoping someone here can help me, I have a 2017 Skoda with wired android auto and so far my Oppo phones disconnect randomly from the car, I know this is an issue for many people, however, I’m wondering if anyone on this site knows of a decent spec android phone that overcomes this issue?
Many thanks
are you able to help please with your extensive and amazing knowledge?

It's not likely to be the phone. It should either work or not work.

It's more likely a bad or cheap cable. Try again with a good quality, new cable and you should find all works well.

If you do still want a new phone though. The logical answer for a good experience of using Google services like Android Auto would be a Google Pixel phone. They will always be among the best supported phones since both the hardware and software is under Google control.

Thanks, I’ve tried different phones and various cables but still no difference, I’ve tried expensive cables and cheap ones, I’ve updated the infotainment system software version as well 😫

I have a 2016 Skoda Superb. Android Auto was absolutely diabolical on it. Always disconnecting. If I paused the music then tried to start it again I'd have to pull the plug and insert.

The constant issues was one of the deciding factors of me moving over to iPhone. It works everytime since.

I suspect its the on board s/w not the phones/cables.

Thanks for the update, yes, I’ve moved to iPhone for the same reason, however, after using the iPhone 12 for about a year now , I really don’t like it 😫 and keeping the iPhone purely for car connection for me seems like a flimsy reason.
I really did want to love the iPhone as well. (edited)

As others have said, I believe it's the car and not the phone. I had a 2017 seat Leon and it would do exactly the same and annoy me off so much I sold the car. They are part of the same VAG group so likely same issue.
