It should either work or not work.
It's more likely a bad or cheap cable. Try again with a good quality, new cable and you should find all works well.
If you do still want a new phone though. The logical answer for a good experience of using Google services like Android Auto would be a Google Pixel phone. They will always be among the best supported phones since both the hardware and software is under Google control."},{"@type":"Comment","@id":"https://www.hotukdeals.com/comments/permalink/51107219","author":{"@type":"Person","name":"FrampyStinkwonkel"},"datePublished":"2023-10-02T12:20:27.000Z","text":"I have a 2016 Skoda Superb. Android Auto was absolutely diabolical on it. Always disconnecting. If I paused the music then tried to start it again I'd have to pull the plug and insert.
The constant issues was one of the deciding factors of me moving over to iPhone. It works everytime since.
I suspect its the on board s/w not the phones/cables."},{"@type":"Comment","@id":"https://www.hotukdeals.com/comments/permalink/51118164","author":{"@type":"Person","name":"Pauladin91"},"datePublished":"2023-10-04T06:12:11.000Z","text":"As others have said, I believe it's the car and not the phone. I had a 2017 seat Leon and it would do exactly the same and annoy me off so much I sold the car. They are part of the same VAG group so likely same issue."}],"commentCount":5,"interactionStatistic":2,"articleSection":"Ask"}
