How to shorten the strap on a Casio Illuminator?

OK please bear with me, I need to go all microscopic on you all at this point:

How do you get links off these? It's so well made n I can't see how you can "go in" from the inside, like you do a strap itself if that makes sense.

Any pointers appreciated!

    You will find the answer to that on youtube if you search the model number plus the word adjustment

    What is the model number?

    Depends on the type of strap. Some have removable sections and some don't. You might need a watch tool to remove the pins. Or you may have to move the fastener/ clasp along the strap. You should be able to look it up online.

    Failing that you can goto a market stall or watch shop / jewelers that do batteries and straps.

    Yeh I took it to our local jewellery repair place at the market, but the scruffy looking guy (looked like he had a drug habit and was cuckooing the owner) looked at it for a bit then mumbled there's nothing he could do.
