This stuff is superb and at £3 it is the cheapest i've seen it.

I commented this in a much earlier deal but i'm sure they've dropped the potency of this over the last few years as I remember using it a fair few years ago on a really grotty bathroom and the smell lingered for weeks after of bleach/chemicals. It took it back to white within hours. Having used a 'newer' one recently, still does an amazing job.

I find this stuff to be OK at best. Years ago this stuff was the stuff to beat but they have watered it down.

Baby sterilising solution is the best. Works in 15 mins.

No wonder there is such an increase in allergies these days, sterilising your baby is just one step too far!

Any recommendations for the slight mould on sealant in bathroom plus any products to use in the black bathroom floor tiles to bring the shine back as some whitish spots started appearing when they are dry, thanks in advance

Honestly on mould in the sealant, I just use regular household bleach and use masking tape or even toilet paper/kitchen towel to hold the bleach in place overnight and by the morning when you pull away the bleach soaked tape/paper all the black stuff in the sealant will have disappeared.

Great stuff, but eats bath enamel, make sure any enamel areas are masked off.

Is that on an acrylic fibre glass? Or are we talking old style enamelled cast iron (edited)

I just use a strong bleach spray and a stiff toothbrush.

They sell this in Home bargains, not sure what the price was, I think 💬 it was around the £3 mark, seen the stuff elsewhere for £7 +, got loads of HG stuff including a fire glass cleaner which is brilliant.

I have the foam version of this and it’s brilliant

My viewpoint on this is similar to many folks who posted on amazon on the 1 star ratings. My issue was mould on the sealant. This did absolutely nothing for me that was positive. Saw the videos of what it did to mold on the wall and on some folks bathrooms and thought give it a try think it was £5 at the time. What an absolute waste of money like others said it has a bad smell, stuck some on a stain on a bathroom shelf and it discoloured the bathroom shelf. Also the spray version I had literally didnt stay on the sealant any more than a few minutes but it says leave it to work for 30 minutes. I must have repeated easily 8 times and no difference either way. Then tried the bleach trick left it on for 20 hours most of it was then removed still have small bits of brown mould in a few parts that can come off but so much more better now. Grout I always use detol green bottle forget what it is called mould remover I think its called that is powerful stuff and always gets the grout away with next to know scrubbing other than a light toothbrush pass. Hope that helps but unless your mould is on the walls and even then I have no knowledge of it working other than it did in the video I saw then avoid this like the plague. Bottle of domestos apply it I used cotton wool pads to help the bleech stick leave during the day and overnight and then shower off and you will be happy save you a lot more money than this product thats for sure.

Can’t see on the instructions if it’s mother in law friendly ?

What's the difference between this and the normal HG mould remover? Is it less damaging to the grout or something.

Because the basic HG mould remover smells like pure bleach in a spray bottle and it kills off any black mould it's great

We've found the mould remover to work best for tile grout. Spay it on and leave it for a few hours before rinsing.

What is the advantage of this over regular thick bleach that can be applied with a paint brush?
    Happydayz's avatar
From my experience harsh chemicals and acids will break down the grout, cutting its lifespan short. It will eventually crack and if it's in wet areas, water will penetrate through.

(It can lead to considerable damage)

    Thanks OP bought.

Is this any different than the HG mould spray? I have a full bottle of that already so don't wanna buy multiples
    Lexeus's avatar
Good question, maybe the back of the bottle will help. Mould is often cleaned with acid whereas grout may be better off with a strong alkaline solution as the porous lime based grout would be disolved by acid damaging the grout.

so it could be different, bur they could both be the same, difficult to know because they don’t want you to know!

Anyone have experience using for pale grey coloured grout? Would it discolour the grout or clean it back to the grey it should be!

Bought. Came in a clear plastic bag but the inside is wet? It's not water. Is it some chemical they add to nullify bleach when in transit? Or is it just leaking? The liquid is clear but there seems to be no sign of leaks from the bottle itself (I could be wrong though). Substance slippery when in contact with water but eventually washes off fully.

I've kept the bottle anyway. Just a heads up.
