David Olusoga is a lying propagandist. This book is filled with misinformation and is a terrible attempt at portraying a false reality, a lot of what is claimed in this book is debunked nonsense and deliberately cherry picked and out of context. I've always had a love of history but this book is not factual nor written in good faith to be factual.

David Olusoga is not worth reading. His claim, in this book, about Beachy Head woman is false. Evidence shows the skeletal remains to be Southern European, most likely Cyprus. David uses phrenology as evidence to make his claim, Phrenology is a pseudo-science, long discredited. He uses phrenology again to make similar claims about Ivory bangle woman. The Beachy Head plaque, that Olusoga and the BBC got put up was recently removed due to evidence from the Crick Institute. If you still want to read this book, then be aware of the facts and cross reference his "stories".

David O. certainly IS an accredited, academically educated, trusted and commendable historian. I'll get this book as soon as the price comes down...

All his TV history shows are great: immensely well researched, evidence presented clearly and impartially, context flawless AND
interesting, always insightful and good humoured too - I expect this book to follow suit.
