Best weatherproof trainers

I see a lot of deals for trainers that are “weatherproof” and in the comments a lot of people don’t recommend a lot of the ones I’ve seen, even if they’re Gore-Tex. Can anyone recommend a decent weatherproof trainer? Cheers

Can recommend the Asics Gel Sonoma GTX. I'm on my 4th pair over a few years and they are reliably waterproof. I run and walk off road in them. I have never had the goretex sock leak or tear. The only downside, and true of all this type of wp trainers, is if you get water go over the top and soak the inside, they are quite difficult and slow to dry. Often discounted on the Asics site and on HUKD. I find they size slightly small, but others say size is accurate.

Thanks for this it was actually these trainers I was looking at getting but I saw some comments of people saying the gore-tex don’t hold their weight. But I might just give them a go myself, just wanted something for the winter - cheers

I asked the other poster but got no reply. You specified a certain model of trainer. Is that because other Terrex models are not good or that you only have experience with this one?

I use Nike Pegasus Shield and have been very pleased with them - even running in the rain and puddles over past few days feet are still reasonably dry. Obviously still get some over the top but they don't seem to leak on sides.
The are a ridiculous price atm but usually drop to around £70 when they have a sale.
