When to start contract to avoid price hike with EE?

I want to get the sim only deal from EE but not sure when to start the actual contract to skip having to pay for April price hike. I remember some providers allowed you to skip if you took contract out on march but can you do it earlier?

I think March is the earliest time you can do it. I'm looking at getting the Galaxy S24 but will be waiting till April to do so to avoid the hikes.

Usually from the previous month before the price goes up.

Correct me if I am wrong both isn’t Ofcom( or whatever their now called) supposed to be looking at these underhand tactics ( happened to me) where mobile and broadband companies lure customers in with low prices and you enter an “Agreement “ to pay each month and lo and behold it’s a given they cite a clause in agreement that allows them to jack price up

Depending on what SIM only you want from EE you could look at a rolling 1 month plan on 1pmobile, 25gb for £10 at the moment with WiFi calling, unlimited calls/texts, no speed caps and EU Roaming included. And as it's 1 month rolling you can leave anytime if they jack the prices up.

I did it recently as I had enough of EE putting my SIM and Broadband up... (edited)
