Seems a good price for a portable 15.6" monitor with USB C, HDMI, VESA support & speakers instead of buying from Aliexpress.
It's only LCD, 60Hz, low brightness & inaccurate colours may not be great but since buying yesterday and it arrived today, it's not a bad screen (colours are great, it's bright enough indoors & 1 USB C cable to laptop) for a 2nd screen for PC and consoles.

  • 【Plug and Play 】For PC/Laptop which supports Thunderbolts 3 and mobile phone which supports USB 3.1, you can connect it with the included Type-C to Type-C cable to provide video, audio, and power to the monitor. In addition, if you use the included USB adapter and power cable to power the monitor, it can also power your computer or smartphone at the same time. The portable display also equipped with OTG port (microUSB) for connecting mouse or keyboard.
  • 【Equipped with Three Kinds of Ports for Different Devices】UPERFECT portable monitor equipped with standard HD, and USB Type-C ports ,can meet your needs to connect with different devices without using adapter .For Android smartphones and iPhones which without Type C 3.1 ports ,you can buy a HD Adapter to get it to work with our portable screen.
  • 【FHD 1080P IPS Screen】UPERFECT USB C Monitor is perfect for gaming, watching videos and working at the office. Adopts IPS LCD panel that allows you to display natural colors with a wide range of 178° up and down and 178° left and right for consistent visibility, so you can see vivid images from any angle. Despite the large screen, it has a slim design that weighs approximately 31.4 oz (905 g) and a thickness of 0.4 inches (11 mm), so it can be easily stored in a travel bag for business trips.
  • 【Upgraded Configuration & Eye Care】 Built-in dual stereo speaker delivers loud and immersive 360-degree sound with deep and accurate bass; Flicker-free backlighting and blue light filter minimizes eye fatigue.
  • 【Smart Cover & Screen Protector】The Smart Cover is made of durable PU leather exterior, a soft lining to keep your monitor safe.

UPERFECT Portable Monitor, 15.6 Inch Portable Monitor with Standard HDMI, Type-C Port, 1920×1080 FHD, IPS Screen, USB-C Monitor Support VESA, Second Monitor for Laptop, PC, Phone, Xbox, PS £79.58 @ Amazon UK.

You should check whether the panel is 6 or 8 bit before buying. I learned the other day that some of these Chinese portable monitors only have 6 bit colour... didn't even know that was a thing.

Anyone any experience of these with a Steam Deck?

I posted a video on the Uperfect 13.3" deal so check that out.

Actually I will just copy the comment here >

Should do, look at the comments on that video, someone mentions have the 1080P version >

From the product pictures on Amazon it seems as if this has charging passthrough, so you can power the monitor which in turn powers the Steam Deck.

Brightness is fine but colour is a bit lacking. That's fine for me as I'm only using it to display the nav map when using flight sim but if you want it to watch media or play games, it might not be good enough for you.

An alternative for £69.99 after the voucher there... (not enough feedback to be allowed as a separate deal)

Does that one have any advantages/disadvantages over the UPERFECT?

Do you have to use the supplied USB c cable to mirror your phone? Tried another cable didn't work
    TBC15's avatar
Apparently cable mirroring won’t work on all phones. I did some investigation after ordering and my pocophone f1 is one of them. I’ll have to go the chrome cast route. One bonus is I will be able to charge phone at the same time. (edited)

    Can this play Fortnite
    CHUNGHO1's avatar

This is a monitor, so if you have a PC or game console that plays Fortnite, you can connect to this to play Fortnite. Ideal if you don't want to share the TV. :P

Stacked with AMAZONUK25 for me as well
    amour3k's avatar
Does the code of AMAZONUK25 give the £15 off of this portable monitor then?

    Or ...

    Thanx.

Do any of these portable monitors come with batteries? I understand this one doesn’t!
    mudlouse's avatar
Yes, some from the Asus Zenscreen range have built in batteries. Something like this asus.com/uk/…ap/
  12. Jay_Patel6cq's avatar
Do you have to use the wires provided? And does it work with type c alone instead of hdmi? Wanna connect to my s21 ultra via type c and not hdmi
    Mabaig765's avatar
You cannot connect to s21 alone. You need to power up the monitor with separate cable.

Sorry if this is a silly question but could I stream on this so kids are entertained during bath time etc?

In my day we had rubber duckies, soap pens and bathsketball.

Got mine today. Really happy with it in the steam deck and MacBook. Only minor criticism is that the colours are a little weak, but it’s a minor gripe
  16. fame's avatar
Sorry for noob question, but can you use this as 2nd screen for work when travelling? (edited)
    Mabaig765's avatar
Yes you can if your laptop can support usb-c thunderbolt and can provide enough power to screen.
  17. carpediem99's avatar
Brilliant price. I have one of these. You need to run a separate power lead if you want full brightness. Great monitor this for the price but I needed a bit more resolution so have just bought the LG Gram from Costco. Obviously it's more money and you need a membership but the newer MR model is a good price and currently cheaper than the older model.

Wow! A fab deal and tempted to buy.
  18. Mabaig765's avatar
Mine received today. Really happy with the purchase. Tested as second monitor and mobile phone mirror. Both worked as plug and play. Simple use. Haven't played much with buttons, do I need to? Don't think, Happy with defaults.
  19. 1616french's avatar
    Got it for £61.58.
15% electronics discount wouldn't work even though I was eligible so Amazon gave me £14 credit plus £4 off for having it delivered to my local pick up point and of course the £10 promo from this deal.
Happy with that, means I can watch the football at work in my digger cab on a larger screen than my phone has 👌 (edited)

How does this compare to below for £10 more. One below has better energy rating, higher brightness, weighs less and appears to be rated higher in amazon.

Just ordered this as I thought it was a great deal. Wondered if someone had posted it on this site and found this thread .

I'm going to use it in my flight sim setup as a secondary monitor to display maps, flight plans etc.

Arrived yesterday. I already had a AOC 15.6 screen but this is more flexible. I'm using the USB C-C cable to power/send signal. I have a thinkpad with a USB C connector (the older ones don't) and this will send power and signal through the USB cable. The Battery of the thinkpad will power the thinkpad and the screen. If you don't have the correct USB C or no USB C, then you power the screen seperately and use the HDMi cable. There is a USB - USB cable and that might work the same as the USB C - c, but I havent tried it. To note, don't lose the supplied USB cables as I lost the AOC one and you need to use a special USB cable that provides power and signal. Decent display and for the price is a steal.

Received it yesterday & set up with my Jsaux RGB dock station & ROG Ally, works a treat!! Really happy with it, took a while to figure out the cables but I'm using the HDMI cable into the dock & the usb c to usb c cable for power from dock to TV. Picture quality is good & speakers do the job (tinny but good enough for me). Great deal & well worth £80.

Does anyone know the brightness in cd/m2, nits etc? It doesn't say on Amazon. (edited)

    I assume 250 candela is 250 cd/m^2 which is 250 nits.

Surprised that this unknown brand is despatched and sold by amazon. Great if you own samsung phones with Dex support and can use this monitor for casting and desktop mode as PC

Could one watch the hdmi feed from a Chromecast TV dongle on this?

    Yep

Bought one of their lapdocks a year or so back for Samsung Dex use. It's been faultless and excellent, great build quality. Imagine their monitors are similar quality.

Anyone have experience with portable monitors and laptop connections, i play eith the laptop on my lap during evenings for MMORPGS and unsure if i can fix the monitor to my laptop for dual screen use
    amour3k's avatar
"and unsure if i can fix the monitor to my laptop for dual screen use".

If I'm NOT mistaken, I believe Windows 7 had dual monitor (or multi monitor) 'setups', built within it? - or Windows 10 does at least ...

It might be helpful exploring the "My Computer" icon, on the Desktop of your Windows device, and take it from there? (well, I'm assuming you're using Windows, anyway?). :-D

Alternatively, use the App that's available + relevent to the brand/make/model of this portable monitr, install it within your laptop/PC device, and Bob's your Uncle. :-)
