Bin Liners - which ones are best value?

Out of interest, where do folks on HUKD buy your bin liners?

Apparently these Aldi ones are good groceries.aldi.co.uk/en-…686 but 6p per bag (50L) but is there a go-to choice? (like the Nicky for bin liners!)

I get the white ones from discount stores, they usually have a tie handle or handle. They seem to be the best value / quality balance.

Infact the exact style of the aldi ones. (edited)

I buy these from Home Bargains. Nice and thick, no tearing apart when you empty the bin. They sell the rolls individually instore, can’t remember how much but presumably half the price you see at this link cos they only sell them as a two pack online. https://home.bargains/product/ea4d5459-09f7-4c35-aefb-1c22bbee4946/50-heavy-duty-refuse-sacks-x2?sc=777

I find I rarely need to buy traditional black bin bags these days: the majority of my waste gets recycled, so just goes in a stout reusable carry bag until it's time to bin it outside. Food waste goes in the food bin of course, so I'm regularly buying biodegradable bags for that.

Anything dirty, or liable to go smelly, gets put in a small bin lined with any old used bag, like a bread bag.

I have large dustbin outside my kitchen door fitted with a large bin bag where clean stuff that can't be recycled goes- it takes absolutely ages to fill that.

...sorry, I know this doesn't answer your question, I just felt like some bin bag chat! (edited)

I find that people who say they recycle most of their waste often put a lot of stuff in the wrong bin, assuming items are recyclable when they are not. #BinBagChat

Personally I don't like those drawstring ones. I use these tie handle ones instead. I tried those drawstring ones linked above and they seem thinner, and when tying I have found either the tie handle snaps or the channel at the top where it runs rips, and finally even if neither of those things happens then it still isn't really tied up tight.

THe tie handle ones I have had far less breakage and the top seems better tied. But, more expensive by the look of it :/

I prefer tie handle ones myself: there's a lot of extra material on them though, to accommodate the tie handles- same as with tie handle food bags.

Taken to buying a box of 200 90l heavy duty off Amazon. Half a year+ for £20. Never rip on me. It's the same style ones I deliver obo phs etc to businesses.

This is what I have been doing for years. Got to be careful as too many are advertised as heavy duty when they're clearly not. Checking the weight is key
