Looking to go away in late June is last minute holidays still a thing?

Hello,

I am looking to go away in the last two weeks in june for 7 nights looking at prices now for a decent hotel all inclusive we talking from £500 upwards without the addons like transfers, seat picker etc.. Unless we book an awful hotel anyway. Thinking probably Spain or Turkey. either way some of you travel experts on here think its worth waiting to book last minute? Or book now as prices may even go up?

Flights a lot of the time go up in price now at last minute as they think you're pretty desperate. I'd have a look now and see if any are in your budget and if they are book it. Onthebeach do a lot of good all inclusive deals then just do your research on TripAdvisor for the hotel

I always book the flight as early as possible because they always go up.
Then I keep an eye on the Hotels I'm interested in and book a few weeks before as I've always found that's usually the sweet spot.
Reserving.com is good for hotels on both price and customer service.
You can often find even cheaper on stayforlong but they have terrible reviews for customer service.
    Avoid booking anything with loveholidays.

Can I ask why you dislike love holidays so much? I am going to use jet2 anyway thanks to feedback on here, booking tomorrow but was looking at love holidays who can do the same holiday £100 cheaper than jet2. But the flights are at silly times.

They have very bad reviews. have a look. From my personal experience they were a nightmare to deal with getting back your money under their free cancelation policy.

Flights will always cost more for the most civilised flight times which can ramp up the price and of course reduce it for lousy middle of the night departures/arrivals.

I always book my own separately to get exactly what I want and use agents just for hotel bookings.

Additionally there were admin fees which were not made clear at all in their 'free cancelation' which were deducted from the refund when I eventually got it.
It was a wearisome time wasting process dragged out for weeks too.
Not funny when you need your money to book elsewhere for example.
Not everyone can have £1000+ of their money unavailable for an uncertain period.

Stayforlong were prompt at refunds as were Travelup but I don't know about their follow up CS once you're away.
Overall reserving.com have been so good in all respects that I book holiday resort hotels with them as first choice now.
Another plus for not doing a package is that you will obviously save the money which is their cut. Not a lot but shaves it down.

Dang, you get a lot of refunds huh? I believe the average person refunds 1 holiday in their lifetime. I don't know anybody who's ever done it for whatever reason. Hoping that changes for ya and you have better experiences in the future.
