M5 Deco mesh dropping calls

Hi all, hoping for some advice.
Have had this system for years
3 units - main in living room, 2nd at the back of the ground floor to provide garden coverage, 3rd upstairs in back bedroom which was a black spot. Generally seems to work fine but when taking calls via WiFi calling or what's app etc when you move room to room, so maybe from living room to kitchen, take call in the garden then move inside, the call will drop out so it appears to be when you move into the remit of a different M5 device it cuts off.
I've recently been on the app and done all available updates, firmware etc but no change.
Not particularly technically minded with these things so hoping for some advice, cure, suggestions in simple terms.
Thank you

If you find the device in the deco app and scroll down make sure the "mesh technology" option is highlighted. To be honest I have the same system and I do find that moving around my devices can get stuck on one mesh node rather than switching to the nearest but at least check that setting first

Have you got the option to enable Fast Roaming on your Mesh System?

When you move from node to node, your device is quickly disconnecting from one node to another and having to authentic each time. While it's very quick and in normal situations, you dont notice it. With using VOIP like Whatsapp, this slight cut in connection will drop the call.

Fast roaming should eliminate this as your device is pre authenticated on each node ahead of time.
