Customer Services in UK

An interesting article:

As if we needed any reminding !

Add to this the multiples of the numbers that go unreported or "Taken on the Chin", as we are expected to. Right ? Right.

A lot of companies cynically used the "now, more than ever" of the pandemic to scale back customer service provision and then set that as the benchmark for the new normal (while still charging more now, than ever).

I really am struggling to think of many companies that provide great customer service anymore

For me it's been the one-man-band companies, plumbers, sparkies, that sort of thing. Big companies? Forget it. But I suppose it's the nature of the business, British Gas (for example) can afford to have poor customer service as many will still go with them if it's cheap enough. But 'Bob's plastering' has to do a good job every time otherwise it's a rogue Facebook post and suddenly they have no incoming work.
