EDF Fixed tariffs

When my then energy provider, Bristol Energy, collapsed a while ago I was one of many users automatically placed with EDF as my substitute energy provider. I was put on a variable tariff which I settle on a monthly 'pay as you go' basis (prefer not to set up a DD)
I've had a few emails from them promoting their two Fixed tariffs (a One year and a Two year) which the email claimed a future annual saving of £220, providing there would no change in usage.
I chose the One Year with a press of a button and was instantly swapped. Payment method unchanged.
Seeing that there appears to another energy bill increase due in April - a bit of a 'no brainer'

Hope this nudge will help others 😁

My tariff is currently 15.39p per kWh of electricity, and 3.63p for gas.
    How does that compare?

Who is that with? I'm on octopus tracker and it's not that cheap. Their prices went up today....

Are there early exit fees with those EDF tariffs - because its likely the price cap - and therefore fixes - might drop in April and then July - not sure why there appears another increase due in April?

From the end of last week Octopus removed early exit fees from their 1YR fix (lower than variable) and the fix available as an existing customer (even lower)

Exit fee £150. Price increase in April? I think I misread that.

Prices are predicted to fall around 16% in April and again in July so not a good time to fix

Gas prices have fallen 50% in the last 6 months but ofgem still sticking it to the customer!
