Nintendo Switch Joy-Cons

Hi all.

Can anyone recommend a pair of Nintendo Switch Joy-Cons please? The original ones I've got are dog and don't connect properly anymore. Don't mind if they are official or 3rd party.

Thanks

Mine have stopped connecting to the Switch well one of them has the right one it will not connect in console mode only when they are both disconnected from console and playing seperate as a joypad.
So I would be interested as well.

Mine did that, the black side rail has metal connectors on the bottom, first try to clean that off with a old toothbrush and if you have any some isopropyl alcohol. That sorted mine for a couple of years when it was doing similar. Then when it fully went I bought a new side rail of Amazon or eBay for a couple of pounds and followed a guide to replace it. Now works perfectly. Saves a ton of money! (edited)

not sure if you know or this qualifes, but nintendo will fix your joy cons for free even if its out of warranty. Mine were playing up so just submitted a repair online and it was all done for free. Google it.

I've had two sets send in (well out of warranty), one set with drift issues fixed free of charge, second time had drift and an unresponsive button, had to pay £8 for that to be fixed due to the button so not sure if its a blanket free repair service or depends on the issue.

I've just ordered some cheapy £13 ones from Aliexpress which should arrive in about a week, so I'll update when they arrive. I remember hearing that lots of the Chinese ones are actually half decent, especially considering you can get them for under £20(or in my case £13 because of a new user promo). Considering the official Nintendo Joycons are plagued with issues, using 3rd party ones doesn't particularly bother me. (edited)

I see others have mentioned as well - Nintendo may repair them FOC. A fact I have yet to test as my controllers suffer from stick drift, however I haven't got around to claiming warranty on them yet!

Mines are not a drift issue, but somehow the SL and SR buttons won't work. Trade in 2 games at the weekend for Super Mario Party. Couldn't even get to the opening menu because those 2 buttons won't work (I found out from the Switch main menu to try controller buttons, they didn't register when pressed). All other buttons are fine, just SL and SR not working. (edited)

That happened to mine, I presume the light is gone too, a replacement part was about £1-1.50 on aliexpress and took about ten mins to replace. I got the double pack (Color: SL SR) so I have one ready in case the other joycon ever did the same.
