Perfect timing, was just told by my local GP to get one of these for my dad as the wrist ones aren't as accurate.

FYI, for anyone who wants to collect or spend Nectar points and doesn't mind collecting the item, you can get the same model at Argos for £21.75 at the moment. TopCashback is also available for Argos purchases online (rates vary depending on TCB membership status and whether you're an existing or new Argos customer). (edited)

I know we don't have time travel machines but the Boots rebadged version of the Omron M2 Basic was £10, in the latest £10 Tuesday, for anyone willing to wait/keep an eye out. (edited)

That was actually the Classic, not Basic.

Many library services are now offering these on free loan now. Check with your local library service.

Omron, well the professional versions 10x the cost is what a lot of GP/Hospitals use

For Home use any of these are good bihsoc.org/bp-…se/

I have used a lot of machines and very much like the A&D medical machines as they are fast and do not error as much as the omron machines

This deal at £20 is good. Rarely should any domestic/public/home-user pay more than £30 unless you have money to burn

10 x the cost is not only because of the brand or because it is professional. It is because those in charge of contracts are wasting money. My Vodafone work phone costs the organisation £30 pm. For that price, I get 1GB and 300 minutes... You need several university degrees to be able to sign such contracts...

My wife bought a Kinetic blood pressure monitor from Argos about a month ago, but after a couple of weeks and very little use, it stopped working properly.

I returned it, and when asked about a replacement, I decided not to get the same one again. I was given gift voucher instead. The salesperson said they actually sell more Omron machines than anything else.

We called into our local Sainsbury's today and I showed my wife the Omron (mentioned in a previous comment) We would have bought it, but i had left the gift card behind.

Will probably just get this one now .. at least our daughter as 'prime' so it will be free delivery

I went to the GP yesterday, saw an AP and this is the very model and at the price she advised me to buy.  Ordered on Amazon yesterday, delivered today.

Shame this device doesn't have Bluetooth and an app that would collect readings as quite often you are interested in an average of say a weeks worth of readings.

If you have an iPhone you can just enter it into Apple Health, takes seconds.

This is the same model my doctor's surgery uses so I purchased on. Canny say better than a GP reccomendation.

eBay has larger replacement blood pressure monitor cuffs, around £10 for up to 52cm diameter.
