Split/Second is an intense action racing game set within a reality television show. Competitors will vie to be the first to the finish line in a made-for-TV city set rigged to blow with the ultimate goal of becoming the season champion.

Just be aware that the game doesn't pick up controllers automatically & you need to manually configure the inputs. It's also locked to 30fps.

Same one of my fav arcade racers, the disaster stuff going off innthe background was awesome, the plane at the end crashing. Amazing game that many nowadays might not even be aware of.

This game always reminds me of Blur. It was sort of an arcade racer crossed with Mario kart but with fully licensed cars. It came out around the same time as Split/Second. It had a cult following and online was great fun but it must have tanked in sales. Always hoped for a sequel or reboot/remaster of that. (edited)

I was lucky enough to spend a couple of days at the dev studio play testing this. Was a great game then and is still a great arcade racer today!

All I remember is playing split screen with my brother and both of us were just screaming our heads off as the world blew up, planes crashed and buildings toppled around us for 3 laps straight.
