Ugh.  I'm not already a member and I don't want to enter an email address to join.  Why can't I just browse their site? Horrendous usability - I'm oot.

Hey guys, would any of these be good for carry on luggage? Was tempted by the Sportlite Tour 26L but it’s 54x28x23.5cm which is 3.5cm too deep for most airlines

If it's a backpack, I'm pretty sure that the dimensions are dictated by how much you stuff inside. For example, they wouldn't turn you down if you brought an empty bag due to the fact that it measures a certain size when flat.

Prices jacked up to look cheaper. On Ospreys site some of these are hundreds less than the original price without a "Discount"
    mickmartin16's avatar
Show me one on Osprey's site that matches or even under cuts sports pursuit discount?

25 years back this was decent gear you could rely upon. Not now. Tried and tested for 15 years.

I've got an Osprey Quasar daypack that I bought about 8 years ago. I use it very regularly and it's still going strong, just as good as when I got it, it's quality gear.

How did I ever manage without an Ice Axe Loop? Frankly these are still overpriced after discount.

Hard to say til you use the item. I still very regularly use a berghaus bag that is at least 9 years old now and was abused in carrying large weights, in fact my wife stole it to take to Latvia this month, and it is only just starting to show proper signs of usage. On the flipside I've got another berghaus bag that within 2 years started to split at the seams, and that had a lot less use with less weight despite being a bigger bag.

I don't trust brands anymore, same make from different factories can give massively different results. I do own a few Osprey bags and they do all seem good so far, but the only one thats had any real abuse must be 10 years old now and has survived many airports. I can't be sure current ones are to the same standard but if a £50 bag lasts 5 years I'd say thats fair?

Anything on Farpoint 40 or similar? I lost my login details and cba resetting password lol. Thank you. (edited)

Still shocked at the price of the Farpoint nowadays, picked up mine just before COVID for around £40 on Amazon. Was often between £40 and £55. Mad prices now.

Overpriced stuff, these should be the normal prices.

Can you recommend other serious outdoor backpacks that are consistently this price?
Only brands I know of are Mountain Warehouse and Decathlon, which are either a step down in quality or not far off the same price. Eg the serious backpacks from Decathlon go for around £100+.
These are professional backpacks, if you don't know why you'd need one, then they won't be worth the price for your needs.

    I didn't need a new bag.

Now I have a new bag and some new Stance socks...I didn't need those either.

    Ahhh HotUKDeals strikes again! 🤦🏼

PS for those inevitable "Sports Pursuit is dodgy" brigade, I've had nothing but excellent products and service from them over the years, would highly recommend.

    Fake
    Haircut_100's avatar
Are you really asking if they are selling fake Osprey bags? Of course they aren’t.

I highly recommend the Talon series. Looks like they don't have the 22 that I use, but they have the 18 at a very good price.
    PonJaul76's avatar
I have the 18, very good bag. Prefer it over the 22 myself

I bought the Skarab 22 from sportpursuit. Bargain price, excellent service (received in 48 hours), always had great service from them. Really impressed with the Osprey a step up on my OMM gear

Any good deals for daylite 26 expandable?

I was checking out the Arcane small day bag for a work bag, in black. Went to YouTube for the reviews. Came back and the black ones gone. I’m thinking now was it even there. I’m not colourful enough to rock the grey or green one. (edited)
    Bigroobybooby's avatar
That’s such a sad read, of course you’re colourful enough!!!

The best rucksacks you can buy. There are packs that are as good but none that are better.
