Bit of a niche game, but been on my wishlist for a while and just saw it had dropped from £3.99 to £1.99 at CDKeys. Hope it helps some people.

About Everybody's Gone to the Rapture PC
The world ended 37 minutes ago. It is time to begin.
Yaughton, Shropshire. 06:37am 6th June 1984.
Deep within the Shropshire countryside, the village of Yaughton stands empty. Toys lie forgotten in the playground, the wind blows quarantine leaflets around the silent churchyard. Down on Appleton’s farm, crops rustle untended. The birds lie where they have fallen.
Strange voices haunt the radio waves as uncollected washing hangs listlessly on the line. The televisions are tuned to vacant channels. Above it all, the telescopes of the Observatory point out at dead stars and endless darkness. And someone remains behind, to try and unravel the mystery.
Immerse yourself in a rich, deep adventure from award-winning developer The Chinese Room and investigate the last days of Yaughton Valley. Uncover the traces of the vanished community; discover fragments of events and memories to piece together the mystery of the apocalypse.
Featuring a beautiful, detailed open-world and a haunting soundtrack, Everybody’s Gone to the Rapture is non-linear storytelling at its best.

This is a must buy at this price. Absolutely beautiful walking/exploration game with an intriguing story. Soundtrack is on point too.

"Carry Me Back To Her Arms" is a firm favourite in my Spotify list.

Such a beautiful game with some very tender and emotional moments. Absolute must for this price!

This is always a yes from me...

This is a walking simulator, with many actors from radio providing the audio... as someone who was growing up in the 80s it also has a pretty large dose of nostalgia as well.

At this price it's a steal...

I really enjoyed this when it came out on PS4, I'm now looking forward to Still Wakes The Deep hopefully will be just as good.

Is that from the same people who made this? EGTTR is easily one of the best games I've ever played it's incredible I hope that's a sequel and equally as good and emotional (edited)

Fascinatingly divisive reviews, even among people who like walking simulators.

Every walking simulator developer should have gone back and added VR support by now. They're missing out, everyone else is missing out.

They also made a game called Dear Esther which is considerably shorter but also worth picking up if you do like this.

    I utterly hated that.

I enjoyed it when it came out but I remember being a bit frustrated with how slow the walking was...

What Remais of Edith Finch is still the GOAT walking sim IMO.

Incredible game easily one of the best games I've ever played, enjoyed getting the platinum for this on the PS4 a sequel can't come quick enough

My advice is if you buy it and don't like the feel of it stick with it you'll be rewarded and if you don't like the look of it take a chance and give it patience it's a special one of a kind experience it's incredible, also finding the button to help you walk slightly faster makes a difference

This, stays with you a long time afterwards, but I would definitely appreciated being able to go a bit faster.

The train station scene made this worthwhile for me. I still listen to the music track from that scene on Spotify regularly. The game looks amazing but I found it a bit meh for the most part especially when I had to track back across town at a very slow pace. That one emotional scene had it worthwhile.
