Does the discount apply to these if made to your prescription?

You could get the Ray-Ban from glasses direct for much cheaper and with lenses. I think, there is already an ongoing hot deal for it.

Genuine question but are these really much different than the £5-10you can get that look exactly the same (minus the logo)? I would really hate to pay that much money for something that can be easily lost, scratched or broken,

I’ve got two pairs of RB’s. The first of which I bought in 2014 (RB4165) and the second in 2021 (RB2180) . Both still going strong so can attest to the durability and quality, but can’t compare them to £5-10 glasses. I mostly keep them in a case, unless I’m out and take them off and put them in my pocket or my Mrs handbag (they’ve never scratched even doing this). As far as ‘lost’ and ‘broken’ I guess that depends on how you look after them, but would suggest they are pretty well made.

    Hope this helps!

PS - should add I bought both pairs for less than £70ish each.

Like lots of simple to manufacture goods these days, good quality sunglasses are really cheap and easy to make compared to say 30 years ago (thanks to Chinese mass labour), and so you really are just paying for the style and label with the premium brands. I've had some cracking sunglasses from lesser names in sunnies like Hackett and Paul smith (bought for say £30 at most at tkmaxx) and I've only had to replace them because I lost them. Had some no name wayfarer style ones from there too at around a tenner and they're still my go to goggles in the car.

You are not even paying for the name but for the monopoly. Regardless of what name you buy there's a good chance the money will end up in the same place.
