The Grand Sirenis Punta Cana Resort & Aquagames has bagged itself a spot on the Dominican Republic’s eastern coast. And it's a top pick for water babies – there's a pool with a swim-up bar just a few metres from the sea.

This place is a real winner when it comes to waterparks. The main tower’s 10 metres high and has a couple of chutes, some toboggan slides and a free fall twister. Elsewhere, young’uns have their own splash park, complete with a selection of smaller slides.
