Critics Consensus
It could have told its classic story with greater depth, but the live-action Mulan is a visual marvel that serves as a stirring update to its animated predecessor. Read critic reviews

    Another awful reimagining by Disney

Stick with the animated version because this live action remake is soulless drivel.

I own this, and I know I watched it, but I do not remember it at all and I am a big fan of the animated film.

Not sure why the hate for this. The film stands fine on its own. Take it as it is and not a scene for scene translation of the animation.

Therefore for under £2 for a physical disc I voted this hot. (edited)

Because it was largely filmed in Xinjiang, credited the local party organ at the end and still got the opprobrium it deserved from all sides.

I quite liked this, my daughter liked it a lot, it's definitely a 12 not for young ones. They missed a trick really the story is great but the certificate is justified there's quite a lot of fighting, didn't help the box office I'm sure.

Another rubbish live action Disney film. Maybe the younger generation who grow up watching the live action films love them. For me growing up watching all their cartoons, the live action is bad in comparison
