Rainsport 5 have only existed since 2020. The 3s (which you may have had many years ago) were just as good though IME.

Not the hardest wearing of tyres - but then you make a bit of a choice with all tyres - grip or longevity. I go for the former as I don't do many miles. Not sure if choose these if I were doing 40k a year.

Is this that good a price though? They are the lowest speed and load rating ones you can buy (so no good for anything sizeable). Camskill are £10 cheaper on these specific tyres, although fitting does sweeten the deal. Guess it depends if you know a guy, so to speak. (edited)

This company has reputation of fitting used tyres when paid for new ones. Last time I took pictures of tyres and made a complaint, no one even bothered replying back at all. All I got was an acknowledgment of the complaint. Stopped buying from them since

I was under the impression they subcontracted the actual fitting to a network of local businesses (so it would be one of them fiddling you both). Still not great not to get support though, they are still legally responsible for the subcontracted services.

Hard to search my tyre size on black tyres was looking for 215/55/18

These are great in the wet and ride nicely over bumps but if you are a spirited driver that likes to feel the road I think they are not be the best.

I find the XL stronger side wall version alright in both 17" and 18" (related to my other comments), and I don't know if anything better for the money) but appreciate tyres are a very subjective choice! (edited)
