About this deal

Good price for good tyres

The Goodyear Vector 4Season Gen3 is an all season tyre designed for high performance vehicles such as executive, sports and super cars. Replacing the Vector 4Seasons Gen2, the Gen 3 comes with new and exclusive features.

Improved grip on snow

Snow Grip technology which features a higher than normal number of sipes in the central tread area provides around a 5% improvement in grip for better handling in the snow.

Aquaplaning resistance

Aquaplaning resistance was always a strength of the Vector 4Seasons Gen2 and this is maintained in the Vector 4Seasons Gen3 thanks to Goodyear’s Aqua Control technology, which improves water dispersion through wide deep tread grooves.

Reduced dry braking distance and better handling

Dry braking is also improved by around 5% thanks to their Dry Handling technology which reduces deformation under load with a stronger crown and shoulder blocks.

How does this compare with the Goodyear F1 Asymmetric 5/6? I have those on my car. Can/should I replace them with these as they are nearing their wear limit?

This is all season tyre. It’s more noisy. Maybe not that good in rain, im not sure. On the other side if you decide to drive in snow that’s the difference between you getting to your destination and insurance claim.

Using Gen2 versions of these myself, and have no issues myself.
But recently see some bad (US user) comments about Goodyear tyres on Reddit.
    Especially about their QC.

I know Goodyear are so called premium brand,
But are Goodyear tyres actually good compared to other premium brands?

    The consumer tests suggest so

I’ve been using this tyres for 5 years now no exceptions. Good in snow. Doing an average of 45k miles with set. If you get occasional snow in your area even for a day and you have to drive this is your tyre. I personally think of people going in the snow with summer tyres or having 4x4 with summer tyres claiming they are fine for lower life form it’s just stupid and irresponsible.
