the adidas ones used to come through pretty quickly e.g. within half an hour. The official faq from the Tesco Gift Card site

How long does it take for the recipient to receive their e-gift card?If you’ve chosen the ‘Send e-gift card now’ option during the purchase journey, we will deliver the e-gift card to the email or mobile phone number provided within minutes of the purchase completing, this may take up to 2 hours in some instances.

I'd say the caveat to that is if any issues, the Tesco Gift Card site is managed by a third party site so may take longer to resolve.
