Not voting but these are often around £40, but £20 in the 50% off they have almost all the time, at the Cheshire oaks store anyway

Only if you bought them to wear down the pub, otherwise I don't see a problem with a long distance runner buying expensive running shoes, which is overall a very inexpensive hobby.

In fairness to the original poster, it is a good deal. The problem is that Nike, cynically (IMO) for marketing reasons, elected to make available small quantities of the VF 4% to the public. Consequence? eBay has listings that, up to now, have these selling anywhere between 50 to 100+ over list. I personally have my doubts about their efficacy (especially for 90% of the runners out there), but I'm sure for club and semi-pro marathon runners that can run a sub-3 hour marathon, this is a fair price for something that could help them eke out a faster PB. (and yes, economy was in a way, the right word to be used. They're called the 4% because of research indicating a performance benefit of 4% due to the shoe's foam and plate helping a runner wearing these to expend less energy covering the same distance.)

I think so as they had limited amounts of Jordan’s and the ‘back wall’ as they call it only had 30% off marked price! On the plus side I bought a dri-fit Basketball t-shirt for £5 and a Nike Elite black basketball vest (dri-fit) for £8.

Went there today and no sizes over 8 really. Had one pair of 10’s and that was it. Luckily didn’t have a 1 hour drive for nothing and grabbed a couple of pairs of flyknit Air Max for £35 a pair. Bargain considering they’re still current and over £120 everywhere

Update 24/4 Heard that today there was plenty of Nike Magista Obra II kids on shelves up to size 5 and still the Nike Metcurial superfly green up to size5 shelves apparently keep been stocked up.
