About this deal

Good price for good rated tyres

4324431_1.jpg
Suitable for city and compact cars, the Kumho Ecowing ES31 delivers better performance in terms of wear, safety and fuel consumption than its predecessor.

Strengths:

The Ecowing ES 31 is a more economical tyre than its predecessor. Its tread compound uses high dispersible micro-silica to drive more miles.

Fuel consumption is lower thanks to the E-SBR tread compound and more aerodynamic shoulders, factors that reduce the rolling resistance.

In terms of safety, braking distances are shorter than with the previous version. Four longitudinal grooves quickly clear water to increase grip and prevent skidding.

The asymmetric tread has reinforced shoulder blocks to provide stable handling in dry conditions.

Had Kumho before, and they lasted our car only one year...But this is a reasonable price and includes fitting, so hot. (edited)

Kumho are generally a reasonably well regarded brand in my estimation.
In my case I've had excellent results with Chinese brands in recent years.
Jinyu were excellent tyres, a pal had a set on his Honda CRV that managed over 40,000 miles before replacement. I've used them as well with similar results.
I've also had good outcomes with the ATS house brand Hilo Genesys tyres, managed over 35,000 miles and absolutely no problems in the wet.
My son's mother, has also fitted Hilo to her Honda jazz and no complaints.
The chap at the local ATS, also mentioned they were very good tyres, despite being possibly the cheapest that they supply.
I'd had Hilo tyres on my car, since 2017, so that merely confirmed my experience with them.
They were only £32 each, fitted and balanced with TCB. Now they are like £55 each... (edited)

Ordered 2x Kumho HS52 225/65/17 for wife's Mazda CX5 for £158 using the Kumho offer from ATS last week. Kumho has been a reasonable mid range brand with good reviews

Some delusional comments about not fitting tyres right.

Yet another deal which doesn't include either of the following tyre sizes for the cars I look after:
    225/60/R18
    215/65/R16
    205/55/R17
    155/60/R15
    175/55/R15
    215/70/R15

If you go to there website and put in your reg, you can then go to the tyre page and find the same deal on the tyres for your particular size. That's what I've just done. I'm not saying it will be there for your size, but it's worth a look.

I don’t know but my two local branches ATS, these lads really hate their jobs, no professionalism, no answering phone calls, messed up with order online paid, they offered a cheap tyre instead and a voucher because they couldn’t fulfil the order I placed! Didn’t bother to let me know over the phone they couldn’t take the specific tyres ordered! Yes, sometimes they got really good reductions but they treat you like &£&@

Curiously similat to my last experience with ATS.

As it happens, ordered ATS to fit 2 of these but as 215/55 R17 on my Ford Puma this morning.

Glad people have good experience of these tyres on here.

£156 for the size I quoted. (edited)

Had pair of KUMHO 185/65R14 KH27 86T fitted at home £118 in 2020 including balancing and disposal. Guess that's inflation.

I always find that the tyres work best when inflated...

    YMMV of course (edited)

I've always liked Kumho until recently.
Had 2 fitted on my Octavia 2 years ago. Correct rated tyre pressures and wheel alignment yet worn on both edges which would signify low tyre pressure but they were correct for the vehicle. I had to adjust to 40psi to prevent further wear so traction wasn't best. Managed to get almost 16k miles and 2 years out of them but theyr are ready for changing now.

I would def recommend trying extra load if fitting to heavier car

Just booked in my old car on all 4 tyres to get it through the MOT. If the tyres were too expensive it might have been going to the scrap yard. Didn't want to go cheap unknown tyres so thanks for posting this deal OP.
